We love staying in one of the cabins... They are clean and comfortable... Like escaping to the country side for a while... The restrooms are always clean, and you don't have to share when using one... Each one is private... The staff is courteous and available to help... It's much better than staying in an expensive hotel...

A very nice, comfortable park located near the heart of Austin. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is located on the service road for I35. To get into the park, you have to travel to the next exit on I35, make a U onto the service road and drive 1.5 miles back to the park. Sounds easy, but with the constant, bumper-to-bumper traffic, it can take some time.

pros- bathrooms are private and kept clean. sites are spacious. location to austin is good.

cons- the park is directly off i-35 which makes it extremely loud. all we heard  all night long was traffic, sirens, and horns. the roads in the park are narrow..they do have bushes for privacy on every lot, the downfall to that is while on the road riding a bike or walking there is alot of blind spots. because of this we didn't feel safe letting our 3 year old son ride his bike. the speed limit posted in the park is 10 miles an hour..I find this to fast because of my previous comment, not to mention people drive way faster than 10. especially this one worker on a golf cart.  the pool is small and while we were here unavailable due to work being done on it, but it is to the left of the office placing it directly next to the interstate. yes there's a wall so you cannot see the cars but don't plan on relaxing in quiet there..extremely noisy up there. and the biggest downfall. out location was was right next to a housing project. there's a high fence so you are unable to see it..unfortunately all we hear was loud and i mean loud base and music untill 10 pm some nights.

This was a great place, the ladies who run things were very nice.  We called in the morning and got lucky.  They were able to get a spot for that night.  The kids enjoyed the park and the pool and the laundry had 8 washers and 8 dryers so it was easy to get it done.  

The spot we got was pull through, as most of them are and fit our 30ft airstream and my 2500 mega cab ram fine.  

It looked like pretty much all the spots are rock, which we liked, no grass coming in with your shoes.  

Neighbors were all quiet and super nice even coming on the weekend of a motorcycle rally we thought there would be atleast some noise, but heard none.

Sun Resort has just purchased this location, a lot of the RV site are now going to be Mobile Home sites. Noticed the last time we were in there (8-5-16) we kept losing power, seems like they are making changes and aren’t going to carter to RV’s anymore. This is sad because this was a great location for our RV club, we would spend about 75K a year there on sites. All good things must come to an end, Good bye Lone Star, you were good to us for a long time we will miss you. We are searching for a new RV CLUB Park around the Austin, if you know of some, post them up here.
