First things first: this is a government operation. That being said, your experience will be a direct reflection on your own ability to prepare what you need correctly and provide all the necessary materials to accomplish what you're hoping to get done.
If you're not prepared, however, the employees here are amazing and help you understand what you're missing. They were patient with me when I was less organized than I would have liked to be and were very willing to help me understand the process.
I'm very pleased with the service I've received after multiple visits to this facility.

My fiancé and I moved from Connecticut and came into get our WA license. The staff were super friendly and we were in and out in 30 minutes for the both of us combined. Awesome!

I have been trying to get an ID. Have over 20 documents I understand they need one more from me that aren't the other 17 or more. The kicker is they want either my school's transcripts or my driver's record from Kansas which require me to either be there in person or have an ID. Unfortunately can't take my happy ass to Kansas because I can't get on a plane. Can't drive to Kansas myself because I don't have an ID. The kicker and all of this you need an ID to get the last documentation you need. I have a yearbook with my face on it social security card birth certificate. Doesn't work they treat me like I'm legal because I'm Brown. My name might be too white for them and make them feel uncomfortable because of my color

Well the staff are fine and all, the only problem is that the information line is completely automated. Making it very hard to find an answer for specific questions.

The phone number is automated though DMV. All options are automated. This means asking questions emissions impossible. Good thing they work for the state otherwise they would be out of businesses.
