Not sure what is going on here, but the poor reviews are not without merit.  I had a reasonable experience until I returned the car with a full tank of gas and received a fuel charge of 14.99 plus tax.  Apparently they shift the burden to the customer to make an affirmative showing that gas was purchased whenever the car was driven less than 75 miles.  Nevertheless, to trigger this showing, the contract requires that they request a receipt at the time of return.  Notwithstanding this, I was not asked for a receipt and was charged the $15 fee.  If you have to rent here, you will be fine if you watch out for the sneaky charges.

One metro line from Reagan Airport which was convenient. No lines when we picked up midweek, had car in ten minutes. While not the cleanest car, there was a hat in the back seat, we were out of there quickly. Return process was simple, we were late returning and got there right before they closed at 5pm they were nice about it.

I should’ve listened to the one star reviews. I rented here a few years ago and it was slow but not too bad. Then I rented a car today and it was just awful. First, I made a reservation 2 days in advance for a car with a car seat. This morning I walk a half mile in 15 degree weather to pick up the car, only to be told they have no car seat. They sent someone to another location to get a car seat. By the time it’s all said and done, I’m an hour late leaving.

The low class workers that are somehow still employed by this establishment are only there to make your life difficult. I honestly don't know how this location is still around - they have decent prices but I can't imagine any other reason anyone would put up with workers like there who are just looking for a reason to fight with you. Second worst customer experience I've ever had ( first one a worker tried to fight me because i came in 10 minutes before closing). Honestly terrible. Don't bother.
