This branch of Avis Car Rental exceeded my expectations! Ive rented with them multiple times and Aron’s outstanding assistance made the experience smooth, addressing all my concerns and tailoring the car selection to my needs. Quick customer service at the counter and a diverse car range impressed me. Avis is my go-to for quality rentals. Highly recommended!
If you are renting from Bishop airport you better head out directly to this office, their airport shuttle is imposible to reach some times. Once you are there, the easiest way to tenter is through Front St., entering Brookfield Place and entering the TD Canada Trust Tower to your left, then go straight ahead and make a left just passing the elevators to 28-38, go downstairs and the AVIS office will be right in front of you.
The reviews don’t lie. I returned the car with a full tank and the staff got into an argument with me on “which” gas station did I fill it up at. I am a long time Avis customer and I know well to fill it up just before drop off. However, the staff member didn’t stop telling me why he thinks I didn’t do exactly that. His argument was “I am doing you a favor and not charging you extra”. I asked him if we could go fill it up together will prove it or charge me if he thinks it’s not full. But apparently “he did me a favor” and “he is busy at work”. I usually do not drop a review but this experience deserves it. I do feel like I was accused for not filling up gas when clearly I spent time doing that just outside the center in the freezing cold. Really an unnecessary experience to be honest. Please carry your fuel receipts to the center. You don’t want to experience what I did here. I never had to worry about this in America.
Had a nice experience. Being a preferred member, my car was ready and I just showed my license and got the car. I was able to get the car and move out within 5 minutes. Car was in good condition with no issues. It was clean and smells good as well. I was able to return the car after hours at the location without any hassle. It also took us less than 5 minutes. Just left the car and keys and got the receipt of return same day.
Feels cheated at this location. While returning the vehicle the traffic leading to the entrance was huge. I called the place and said I'll be late by 30 min. I reached the Avis garage downstairs at 10:00AM instead of 9:15. Later I checked my invoice and saw they charged for 1 hr extra. I have been using AVIS for 3+ years now and is a President's club member but this is the 1st time I experienced something like this. The 1 hr charge is not the big deal but the fact they try to milk their customer like this is surprising.
I have been a long customer of Avis Car Rental at Brookfield Place location for more than eight years as it always exceeds my expectations! In particular I have always rented with Naim as he always delivers the specific car selection for my needs, his customer service is commendable and he always addresses all my concerns promptly even when I am overseas. His outstanding car assistance is worth noting which is why I keep returning to this location. Overall all the staff at the counter and downstairs are pleasant to deal with and it is easy to get through on the phone unlike other Avis locations. Avis is my go-to for quality rentals and I highly recommend it!
Everything works fine before the last call. The pick-up is fast and the return is easy. But when I walked 5 mins away after returning, the staff called me saying I did not return the key. I am 100% sure i returned the key to him. He was dealing with several cars at that time and I handled the key to him right near the car. He just asked me to check my pocket and then hang up. This is really unexpected bad experience. I don't know if they are going to charge more as i am visitor here and i am going to leave tomorrow. Some update: it seems they charge the right money and did not charge additional, although they should not.
I've never experienced such blatant discrimination. The requirement for two hard copy IDs was met, yet the treatment received was appalling. The staff's rude and racist demeanor is completely unacceptable. If you do require 2 copies of photo ID you could have communicated politely and nicely, instead of coming up with all the attitudes. You are pathetic to lose a loyal customer. Tips for other travelers: Just go to hertz next door.
Car quality is good. However, I tried to walk in and rent car the staff said there are only high price SUV available. However I do see more options with lower price online so I had to go make online reservation at the spot instead of booking it without the staff. Suggest to always check online at the same time
Worse car renting experience ever. Rude and unfriendly employees. The two first proposed cars had safety issues defective safety belt and missing head restraints at the rear side. So we refused these. Afterwards, they proposed us a neraly new car in good shape but after 5 minutes, for some reason, a very excited person said it was not available. Finally they gave us an apparently "acceptable vehicle" with lots of scratches. Most of the vehicles were dirty inside. So it took us 1h30 to have a vehicle. Also they don't take the time to go with you to the vehicle and give some explanation. They just point approximately where the vehicle is parked. The vehicle inspection slips are filled in a very neglected way : lots of damages are missing and not stated in your presence. I've contacted the customer service case 58034002 to explain the facts widely and they answered that "the purpose of my mail was unclear". Obviously they don't know how to handle customer insatisfaction which seems to be a recurring issue on this station when I read other comments. Note: in my opinion, if they know you will bring back the vehicle in another station after the renting period, they will give you the worse vehicle they have to get rid of it while let you pay additional fee for "bringing back by their own" what they most of the time don't do.
