Story

On our merchandise:

As one of the largest independent plumbing and hardware showrooms in Southern California, we could sell countless lines. We instead choose to surround ourselves with the things we love and items that inspire us. We carefully look at each of our manufacturers to insure that they have the quality, value and performance that our customers have grown to expect from B&C. Many items are personally tested by our staff before we offer them for sale to our customers. We are constantly are in search of new, distinctive and innovative finish goods that will make our clients homes complete.

On our history:

Founded in 1984 by Milt and Doris Bates and Don and Barbara Coster, B&C Custom Hardware and Bath has a lengthy history in the construction industry. Both Milt and Don were key forces in the famous ACME Hardware of Los Angeles during the post war building boom. Their thirst for luxurious and practical (yes that is possible) plumbing and door hardware carries through today. We are truly an Orange County company. No home offices in another state, no parent company on the other side of the world. We have been ingrained in the OC building arena for decades and we plan to stay that way.

On our staff:

Of our eighteen staff members, two have been here for over 23 years, and nine have seen their 10th anniversary. Whether it is in sales, warehouse or the office, when we say our team is "experienced" it is not just a word but a reality. They all, whether a seasoned veteran or new to B&C, understand how the construction process works and are interested in making your project run smoother. They take pride in knowing about the hard to find or having knowledge about products that haven't been in production for years.

On our customers:

Builders, designers, architects, home owners, hospitality. We do projects all over the world, all the time. Not only do we have repeat customers. We have customers that we outfitted their parents and their grandparents' homes. So it's not surprising that many of our clients have become like extended family to us. Although we have worked on projects for sports and media celebrities, U.S. Presidents, as well as captains of industry we take each project big or small seriously. Our customers tend to be creative, positive and fun loving.
