Been to Cattle Baron steakhouse a few times and was more impressed each time. Magnificent beef selections and cuts. Service 4 of 5. Hearty log construction interior gives a super Glacier Park feel. Long days of hiking and enjoying either GNP or St Mary area will always end well at the Cattle Baron. (RV traveler, Clearwater, FL)

I miss this place every day I'm not there. I remember my first time eating here, and it actually ended up shaping a few years of my life as it was the deciding factor in spending two summers working in the area. Sit at the bar, order the ribeye and chat with whoever is around. I promise it will become part of your memories of Glacier. Finish off your night with a milkshake nextdoor.

Since it was the only food place available in this area during the off season, we attempted to eat here. It's a really cool looking place once inside. The cheapest food on the menu is maybe $40. Small expensive menu and a huge wait. There was maybe 4 tables that had 2-3 people each and we were told it would be a 15 minute wait. We waited at least 45 minutes. We sat at the bar downstairs and waited over an hour to try and pay to leave. The waiter/bartender/host/server was working her ass off trying to take care of everything. One server told us to leave the bar tender downstairs a $10 tip for getting us to Budweisers for $3 each. The bar tender was too busy making drinks and taking them upstairs to those seated eating plus playing host and server, so the first girl told some other guy who was sitting around watching tv to get behind the bar while the bar tender was away. The whole place was just a complete mess. We were finally able to get out of the place after an hour and a half. There's no where to eat in that town during the off season.

The border agent recommended this place as we crossed from Canada. He was right about the great food and drink. The staff was also amazing and friendly.
