Backbeat is a neighborhood cocktail bar, centrally located in the bustling South Lamar district. Cute (and tiny) bar but they have an upstairs patio too. The personality of the bartender was on point. If you can find this bar outside of a Google search, you deserve one of their creative cocktails. Too bad I moved north the week I discovered this bar.

Very nice drink menu! Fun and knowledgeable bartenders. Tried a fruit infused rum that was delicious. Can't wait to return and try the small bites!

Good cocktail selection, ok service.. but expensive!! The cheese platter with meat is $30 but was pretty good.

Cool set up both upstairs & downstairs, and both inside and outside. Friendly service & amazing finger food. Happy hour is the best at a really cool location

This review is for Austinites not tourists. Lame. Rooftop bar is nothing to worry about and service is only ok. I have happily paid for overpriced drinks at establishments that were concerned with showing their patrons they were worth it. I don't think they understand their market.
