Story

The place to go in Torrington... before or after a Warner Theatre performance, or "just because" on a non-theatre night. Our reasonably priced all-day menu (served from 11:30 am every day) offers Small Plates, Soups & Salads, Perfect Burgers, Sandwiches, and Big Plates. We bake bread on premises daily, and all our desserts are house made, too.

The antique mahogany and zinc bar soars 13 1/2 feet above the crowd, and presides over Litchfield County's best selection of craft-brewed beer… 24 brands on tap, and 80 in bottles. A wine list of popular American vineyards and an entire list of specialty cocktails makes the bar everyone's favorite destination.

Everyone in our party of 6 had a stellar time. Top-notch beer list, a mix of styles, both local and world-class, drafts and bottles, all served well. Great pub food, classics done well, some nice twists. I was pleased to seem a house-made veggie burger and wish this was more prevalent. Pleasant, friendly, attentive service. Even Steve, the front of house manager was a rip. Stop by and give BACKSTAGE a try. We'll definitely be back!

Great place for all kinds of people. They always have 40 beers on tap and it's always changing up depending on the season. They give you a sheet with all the beer where they are from the % and what category they fall into. Burgers are AMAZING and so is the Philly cheese steak. Great people and great service. Highly highly recommended

One of my favorite beer bars / restaurants in CT. Always a great tap list, with small pours available so you can try multiple beers without being overwhelmed mentally (and alcoholically - OK, I just made up that word.) Nice burgers, love the turkey BLT. Regular fries very good, sweet potato fries not as exciting - and what's with the sauce that comes with them? Way too sweet! They don't promote happy hour or specials very well at the restaurant, so get on the email list. Ask about the happy hour bar bites - best deal there (might be at the bar only?) Draft list gets most serious update every Thursday, usually with a partial tap takeover of a style or particular brewery, often somebody new to CT.

Backstage is a great place to eat. The food was delicious. They have a good selection of meals, and deserts. I will definitely be back
