The Backyard Grill & Bar is an independent, casual family dining restaurant with two locations located in Loves Park and Roscoe, Illinois, serving the greater Rockford and surrounding regions. We offer a diverse menu with many great specialties. A few reasons why our customers love our food; we use a true wood hickory grill; our BBQ ribs are second to none; our prime rib will make your mouth water; and we offer burgers you could only find in your own backyard. We pride ourselves on being able to offer menu items that will satisfy the entire family as well as being a great place to hang with friends and watch a game on one of our many flat panel TV's.

We eat there from tume to time,
But it seems like lately, 
There's no Love in there food.
Slap it on the grill,
Slap it on a plate and serve it.
I had a bacon cheeseburger and onion rings, with a vanilla shake. 
The shake to be served with the food.
They forgot my shake.
After reminding the waitress,
She forgot again.
Then when i was i almost finished with my meal, she brought the shake and made excuses why it was so late.
No Love in there food.
The difference between a Great restaurant and a good restaurant is,    LOVE for the food and Customers.

It’s really crowed, nice environment and nice service. Waited little bit long on wings. Portion size is not really big. 2 people avg 45$ with tips . I will recommend if anyone want to try new. A place I think big families love to go. Saw a lot of families with kids

Food at Backyard Grill has always been prepared to perfection for me... From a steak to baked fish, I have had no complaints from eating here... The drink also are made to perfection as well... I highly recommend this place for all types of events.

My wife and I come here all the time, food is awesome, staff is excellent. Always had excellent service and the food is at your table in a short time unless extremely busy then wait just a little longer but is expected. I would recommend Backyard to the most picky person. Love this place.

Went to eat at Backyard Bar & Grill (Loves Park ILL.) On Friday 11/24/2017.
  To say we were treated Rudely by the owner is nothing short of an understatement. 
1st. We called ahead trying to make a reservation for a birthday party of 12  We were told they would not take a reservation for 12, BUT we could come in & take our chances.
2nd. We went & took our chances, ONLY to be told by the Owner, "We don't do large groups & will Not seat your group". (He remembered taking our phone call).
**We wpul lld have gladly sat as two groups of 6 HOWEVER that was never offered as an option. YES - We tried suggesting this, but were basically told to find somewhere else to eat**.

This would have been my first time eating at this establishment and I can honestly say I will never go back. Over reacting? NO! As we were leaving he started seating a group of 8.

Apparently the 200 plus dollars we would have brought in with our group was Not wanted. 

*Very Disappointed*  FYI - We did go somewhere else and we were Gladly seated with open arms even though there establishment was also busy.

Backyard Grill & Bar of Loves Park Illinois - I can not & will not recommend your establishment to Anyone. 
Treated very Rudely.
