Story

Dr. Kim received his dental degree from Georgetown University Dental School. As an accomplished artist, he discovered his passion for dentistry early in his studies. He finds great satisfaction in doing comprehensive dental care for patients- looking at a patient's mouth as a whole unit, including aesthetics, health and function.

Of approximately 200,000 US dentists, Dr. Kim is one of abut 2000 that has received a Mastership from the Academy of General Denistry. This is an elite honor and speaks to his amazing clinical skills.

I have had multiple procedures at BDA and every time I have had a great experience. The office manager, Rebecca, is helpful and returns emails and messages quickly. Sheyla, the dental assistant, is attentive and eases any anxiety that someone may feel at the dentist. The doctor takes his time, explains everything, and is extremely kind. I recently had an extraction done and I had zero pain during or after the procedure. That is unheard of! 

The office has all the latest and greatest equipment including an MRI, lasers, etc. Parking is easy as is getting an appointment. Overall, my experience here has been pretty incredible. You definitely get what you pay for.

I have been in Dr. Kim's care for over 15 years, and have had extensive dental work performed by him and his team. I don't believe its possible to be in better hands, as he has delivered the very best dental care I have been under, and my previous dentist was the Head of the Board of Dentistry for the State of Texas. He is the best dentist I've ever had, and his professionalism and integrity are beyond reproach. He has always made the details of my treatments clear, which have ranged from cleanings, bridge replacement, to four dental implants. Dr Kim consistently communicated every detail, including costs and how to best utilize your dental coverage. 

His incredible work has received industry awards, and though he keeps these awards hidden, I have noticed them. I cannot possibly give a higher recommendation, than that I would give my dentist, and friend, Dr. Kim.

Absolutely superior dental care. Brilliant dentist with outstanding credentials. Great emphasis on education. Staff well qualified, organized, and communicate well. Facilities immaculate and with the latest technology. Wait time to get an appointment perfectly reasonable.

Always perfect care. Two noteworthy points. In the past I have always needed Nitrous Oxide for major dental work. In all the many dental procedures I've had with Dr. Kim, I never needed anything more than Novocaine. This includes pulling off 25 year in place caps for replacement. Incredible. Second point. I noticed some comments about price and as someone who works in health care and also checks every credentials and database for all clinicians I use, Dr. Kim's prices are within $50 of the typical rate among providers. Dentistry is just expensive and doesn't have much to offer by insurers.

The review is based on my most recent visit - yesterday and last week. I continue to absolutely LOVE Ballston Dental Arts. Dr. Kim is a gem... fast, efficient, attentive and caring with a wonderful sense of humor and charisma while still maintaining the obvious answer as to why he is considered the certified skilled expert on the latest developments in the Dental profession. I have complete confidence in his honesty and ability to discuss in layman's terms complex treatment regime recommendations for my dental health - which puts me at ease as a patient.

My interaction with the staff remains FANTASTIC - Louise is superior as my dental hygienist. She is patient, detailed, has a calming and soothing demeanor and always maintains a high level of professionalism. I always feel like I've had a mini-dental course when I leave her as I learn so much! :)

Rebecca has been more than extremely helpful in resolving insurance repayment claims while putting me at ease in just providing conversation while waiting (which, by the way, is never more than 10minutes). 

If you're searching for a dental home which offers a professional, friendly and knowledgeable atmosphere - then Ballston Dental Arts should be your new home. I've been a patient for almost 5 years. It's more than a business - it's the art of making a patient feel part of the family. (Plus, they have some of the best giveaways ever!!! - who needs pens when they have the tongue scrapers???!)
