The museum itself is an awesome place to visit, however, there is an officer there that made our visit very uncomfortable!! He followed our group through various exhibits.. when asked if he was following us, he replied no, but then he expeditiously removed himself....i rate my experience 1 star...i rate the facility 5 stars

The Baltimore Museum of Art is free & is located next to Johns Hopkins University. Please allow at least 4 hours just to see only your favorite sections. Just one block east you will find dozens of good restaurants in case you wish to break your viewing experience with a nice meal. Check the museum website for hours & parking locations & options ( usually $7 for the day ). Have fun. Some special options for children -- ask at the front desk.

Wonderful museum for all ages. A few notable artworks by Botticelli and Degas. Decent collection of Asian, African, American and European works. Rotating exhibitions and sculpture garden are nice as well. The best part is it's free admission!

Beautiful museum. Much more art than I thought would be there. Warhol, Picasso, Matisse and more. I was pleasantly surprised

My son, several friends and I attended the members' special lecture about the Crossing Borders prints exhibit and delicious brunch as well as the exhibit itself. The lecturer was stupendous--many of us thought she was one of the best we have heard. She is a genuine expert in her field. We not only learned a great deal about the Mexican artists of the period, but a good deal about the history during which several of artists painted. The important role of art in cultures was underscored with the terrific slides the speaker showed to underscore the points she made. Many thanks to the BMA for this fine event!
