Reception in this place is a joke, the veterinarian is good but getting a message to the vet is impossible when you ask after a visit. Also tying to speak with the receptionist is like speaking in a box.. No understanding and No response other then dead air. When asked if I could get an appointment today for a rescue I was put on hold for 14 minutes. When she came back on the line she said she would check but that was after I asked her twice after no response againwhen I asked and was put on hold two more times, each time for over 11 minutes. Then she came back on the line and said she is sure they don't for a few day's... I asked her is there anyway she could check or was her system down for an appointment, I got nothing for a response, I asked again. She said she didn't have time to check but was sure they don't, I asked if she could try to fit the dog in today or see if she has a open spot?? She said No! She did however say if it's an emergency take it to VCA. I SAID IT'S NOT AN EMERGENCY!! I have a rescue animal and I work with your office and would like to bring this rescue in for a check up as soon as possible. She then pointed out she is with another cient who just walked in and will have to put me on hold again for the 4th time. When she came back on the line she asked to take my number so she could call me later on today, I then asked her if they had any appointments for today. She said ( I'm sure we don't) She then said she wanted my number and name and she would see if they have appointments in the next few weeks.. I was so upset I said Nope, if you can't answer a question or check your system and it's not down to check it... then I'll go somewhere else. It's not hard to look in your computer and see if you have appointments for that day! She said and I quote: I just dont have time right now as people are starting to walk in now and we just opened up awhile ago. So I said thanks and hung up the phone, what kind of person was hired at petco?? What and why would a business allow such behaviors from any receptionist? Let me point out that she was extremely rude also with her voice. Someone needs to seriously consider looking at a replacement for this company. I on the other hand am very upset after working with them for awhile now and having this person treat me like this, being rude isn't Ok! I had a simple question and all she had to do was say yes or no, I however was put on hold several times with no answer as she didn't want to check. I had a problem with this person before after I an appointment and needed to get a message to the veterinarian about a medicine the dog was taking. I was told the veterinarian was busy and I couldn't I leave a message or number for her to call me back to answer questions about a medicine that I should call a pharmacy, the dog puked after 5 minutes after giving them the pills. I was told by CVS to call the veterinarian as they were the place who gave me the pills and not a pharmacy I told her after I did what she said, she then said ( I don't know what to tell you) take your pet somewhere else ... Anyways I took the dog to another veterinary care place in San Diego and the dog got new pills and good care, it wasn't the veterinarian who I had an issues with as it was the receptionist from petco.

Vet is awesome. She is great with our dog. Very knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

The hospital rates a 5 * but the Banfield Organization is really poor in customer service. I have been trying to change my credit card information and they do not recognize my phone #, email, or client #. When I call in they know my card is invalid, so they must have my phone number in there somewhere. Tired of trying, let them come to me.
