We have a yorkshire terrier who is currently 7 weeks old and has presented with symptoms of hypoglycemia. We rushed to this clinic first thing in the morning and was seen by the staff right away. Treatment was done very thoroughly and the doctor and nurses were very patient with all of our questions. They made sure that we got all the information we needed before going home. They presented the Wellness Program and all of its pros and it wasnt forced to us like a used car sales man trying to sell a car but they politely explained all of its details and said there is no obligation to purchase it. We saved at least 200 $ on our pet visit with it. It's an awesome investment. This will be my primary vet from now on.

signed up with Banfield as I needed the reccomended immunity shots and when I was presented the Wellness Plan I eagerly jumped on it thinking I would be saving money and giving my dog the best opportunity to good care. After the installment fee and monthly dues I had begun I took advantage of the free office visits with every problem I had since that is what sold me on the Wellness Plan. I paid no less than $100 a visit for medicine they recommended, additional services, etc. They then recommended Science Diet which I followed until I realized the affects it was having. Ear problems, constant licking of her genitals, itching, etc.... Come to find she had a yeast infection (Canidae Canidus- spelling might be off). The food I was giving her increased the yeast and thus the problems. This is a problem that many dogs deal with and it is often referred to as allergies. What you must do is change your dog's diet from a grainy source to a high protein diet. Anyways that was my big fuss as I could have saved money if they had diagnosed the problem properly. Quick facts: they review your dog from the back, you hardly get any attention from doctors, even things like immunity shots are done without your presence, and to be quite honest its very amateur service. I sometimes wondered if my dog every received the services since I never had any real proof. RUN RUN RUN. If you do get suckered into it I feel bad as I had to continue payment from 10 more months despite not using services.

I have been taking my dogs into Banfield El Cajon for at least 3 years now. Dr. Vogelsen is just amazing. So caring, thorough and attentive. I have my 4 dogs on there wellness plan. It saves tons of $$$$ yearly for me. I have a dog who has chronic ear infections. If I didnt have the wellness plan, I wouldnt be able to afford my dog. All of my dogs have had their teeth cleaned there with never any side affects and they always come out sparkling! Amazingly, the cost I pay for one year of the wellness plan is less than what my old vet charged me just for a teeth cleaning on my dog. And he didnt even do as good of a job as Banfield. Overall, I am thrilled to have them and would reccomend them to anyone!
