Sadly we brought our dog in at 2am and she passed away just a few minutes later. She was very sick and old and it was inevitable. 
The staff had her comfortable immediately and gave us a full assessment of her situation. We were given as much time as we needed to say goodbye and stay with her until the end. Then we were given more time if we needed. 
They asked as few questions as possible and helped us through the cremation process. When we picked up her remains there was a nice package of extras. The staff member too us to a private room to give them to us and Wes very kind and consoling. 
A week later we received a sweet card from the staff as well. 
We felt very cared for and that they understood the terrible pain we were in. 
The costs were minimal, which surprised us. 
I am incredibly grateful for the kindness at one of the worst moments in my life.

These folks provided amazing service for my family’s dog “Red” who passed. The level of compassion they offered to my stepdad and his dog was amazing. I am grateful for Dr. Nicole and her team. 

We also ended up cremating through them and the process and presentation was just wonderful.

So far this place is terrible. It's huge which may seem awesome but so far the people at the front desk were short and rude. I was asked to be 15 minutes early for my first time appointment. I was 20 minutes early and was not even spoken to except to be skipped on the list for someone who was running late. I have yet to fill out paperwork. It's now 20 minutes past my appointment time and we have finally been weighed and shown a room. I really hope my experience here improves because I used VCA in point Loma forever and loved it.

I used to love this place and trust their vets opinions. Since they became a VCA managed facility their best vets never seem to be working or are no longer on staff. In fact the vet they have pictured isn't even there. I also think it's vital for a 24 hour emergency hospital have a vet there 24 hours a day.

Had to bring my Charlie in emergency visit only had a limited amount $$ on me technicians generous to give Charlie his fluids with no extra cost thank you VCA
