My family and I LOVE this pet hospital. It's the best we've ever seen. In the one we went to before we found Banfield, the Vet there seemed to be afraid of dogs. Our dog got so nervous when we took her there that the Vet told us we had to sedate her before we brought her in. We tried that once but decided that could NOT go on. That's when we decided to go to Banfield. I fell in love with the place on the first visit. The Vet and assistants were not afraid of our dog at all. Instead they sat right down on the floor with her and gave her "loves." They even did the exam on the floor. Another time we went, when they needed her to go to the back for a procedure they couldn't do in the front (ie blood samples, etc.), she even went with them willingly. That was a first! for her!! They LOVE animals there. So much so that they're not afraid of telling us when they think we should do things a little differently than we are doing. That seldom happens though. All the people there are friendly, willing to answer questions, etc. . I just can't even begin to say all the wonderful things about them that I could. I read some of the bad reviews. They sure don't sound like they're talking about Banfield. We have had to wait a while sometimes to get our dog or cat in, but we just don't mind it. To us it means that the people there are giving some other animal the care and attention they give our animals. If it's a very big problem, they find a way to get us in. Also, sometimes even with an appointment, we've had to wait while the Vet looked after someone else's pet. Again, it just means that some other animal is getting extra care/TLC. And the wait is not any worse a wait than at a people doctor visit. We love the pet insurance they offer. We've gotten it for both our dog and cat. It makes it possible for us to get all the care our pets need. I believe the cost is worth it. Besides, one visit is worth about 5 payments or more. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful. They truly LOVE animals there .

Every single time we have to contact the headquarters they are rude and completely useless. We pay $45 per month which barely even covers anything!! We had to take our dog in for some medical care, and nothing they did was even covered under the plan. What's the point?? So then they told me that if we renewed our plan, they would cut the cost of one of the procedures in half. Which sounded great at first, until we found out that we would be charged twice in one month as a penalty for renewing our wellness plan early. This company is garbage and they are a bunch of deceitful liars that only care about money. Not helping animals.

Signing up for their wellness plan has been nothing but frustrating. They are incompetent at managing the front office and I don't even want to know what goes on "in the back". They cannot handle basics like what kind of prescription an owner is picking up and what services they have been scheduled to provide that day. I do not trust them with my dog's health and we will not be returning. The vets are nice and knowledgeable but the assistants/office workers are so incompetent its not worth the wellness plan or the nice vets. It was a disaster almost every time we had an appointment. We got a puppy and signed up for the wellness program at the Orem location. The first appointment our dog tested positive for a parasite in his poop. They called and told us to come pick up a prescription for it. I went to the office to pick it up and was told that they did not know the dosage amount to give me and the vet wasn't picking up his phone. They asked me to come back later. So I ended up calling them asking for an update and they told me my dog needed a shot, not pills. I asked if I could bring my dog in that day to get it taken care of and they said yes. So I go get my dog and drive him to the office and when I show up they said "oh he doesn't need a shot, he needs some pills, here you go." Then, for his final vaccine appointment, we show up and are told that they had no office visits planned for that day because all of the vets were in surgery. They had called us the day before to verify we were coming and verified the time! We would have to drop our dog off and if a vet had a free moment they would give him the rest of his shots. The wellness plan came with our dog's neuter. He is a boston terrier so the vet recommended we also have his nasal cavities expanded so he doesn't have breathing problems in the future. We schedule the nose job and the neuter at the same time, making sure it would be with the vet that recommended the surgery. We show up for the surgery and while we are filling out the intake paperwork, my husband asks how to say "nose job" in medical terms and the receptionist was like, "oh we did not know he was having that done today." If my husband would not have said anything, they would not have known we wanted it done!!! The vet that was there could not perform the nose job so we had to reschedule. Then, the next business day, we get a call from Banfield asking how our dog was doing and if he was recovering from his surgery okay. The fact that they did not know he did not have his surgery was extremely concerning as that would be an important thing to note in his file. ie "This dog did not have his surgery because the vet he was scheduled with did not come to work and no one thought to tell the owner, or even knew what surgery he was coming in for."

Don't bring your dogs to Banfield. This is not my first review about this place. They keep deleting my review. I guess they don't want people to found out about their horrible service. They almost kill my dog. There is a veterinarian who is like Asian. Now, I don't have anything for his race, because I'm mexican, but the Asian veterinarian at that place just don't treat your pet with love nor respect. My dog is dying thanks to them. It was just some general check up on my dog, and this guy took my dog, and after a whole day, my dog was dying for some reason my dog could not breath normally. This Asian guy and other veterinarian told me that my dog was fine, but it was clear that that was not true. I took my dog to emergencies and I was right, my dog was dying for a operation that Banfield made on my dog just a few hours before. Trust me, this place is not good for your pet. It may be cheaper here then other places, but if you care about your pet, you better look for other place. Banfield almost killed my dog and they don't care about me or my beloved dog. This is so unfair. Don't trust the other positive reviews about this place, those are lies. They just want your money. They don't care about your dog. Please, please please do the bring your pet. Your pet is suppose to be part of your family and we should try to give our pets a more secure clinic or veterinarian for them.

I took my dog there because he was crying a lot and would not move. They were good in taking my dog in without an appointment. However, he spent the whole day at the hospital. They ran blood test and other test but they could not find anything wrong with my dog. The doctor was in surgery since the early morning when I took my dog. He took care of him probably around 3 pm. The doctor was polite and called me to let me know his diagnostic. They were good! I give them 4 stars because of how long it took to get my dog back!
