I heard about Banfield Pet Hospital from a friend and suggested that it was smart to get insurance. I decided to get it and was paying $60.00/month for my dog's insurance for a year. Every time I went to a visit I saw myself paying for something. I recently took her for fleas and had to pay for medications twice. Not sure if it was do to the medication but my dog has been having diarrhea and so I decided to go back to get her checked. I was told that all of her exams will cost over 500 dollars. My point is that the insurance is not worth it as your pet does not need vaccinations every months and if there is something wrong with your puppy it will only cover the visit. No blood work, fecal exams, X-rays etc. So basically they will not give any diagnostic unless you pay for exams. What kind of health insurance is this? It is better to create an account for your puppy and put money in there every month for when there's an emergency. Although the service is good, I am very disappointed and feel that I've wasted so much of my money by giving it to these people every month. Money that I could use now to pay for exams.

I called this location after reading reviews for other doctors in the area. Seeing that I had used these hospitals in different pet stores, I thought the location would be worth using. My small dog was having seizures. I called this specific location and told them exactly what was going on with the dog. They were well aware that the dog had been seizing for a period of time and that it was EMERGENCY. I was told by the staff what the cost for a basic exam was and that they would be ready to receive him when he arrived. I mentioned that I would be driving for over twenty minutes to get to their hospital. They found his records and assured me that they would be ready to help him when I arrived. When I got there, with the dog still seizing in my arms, the person at the desk remembered me and took him back. I sat down thinking my poor dog would get some help. Not ten minutes later, someone came from the back and basically said that they would not see him. The reasoning was a lot of excuses, they don't have this or they cant see him for that. The real reason was that she was going on break and there was no one else to help him. Ok, why tell me to bring him in his condition to only reject the dog seizing in the middle of a pet store? Lucky for me they said, there is a emergency hospital across the street that could help. I left and took my dog there. The dog was seen as soon as he came in with no questions. I let the staff know what transpired at this location and they couldn't believe it. About an hour later another man came in the same vet I was in and said he too was told to leave and come here because they couldn't help his dog?? The dog had a limp... and also they didn't have time because of someone needing to go on break?? Unknown to the Banfield, the poor dog was in remission from cancer and the poor owner was terrified that it had came back in the same leg. I'll never bring my pets back to this location again. Highly disgusted with their customer services.

This is both a busy and a convenient facility. While appointments are recommended; they are also able to work in sick pets who need care the same day. The staff is engaged and supportive. The only detraction is that the facility is limited in what they can handle; although most routine tests and vaccines/treatments can be administered.

This place is horrible. The pet plans suck and doesn't cover anything except a visit and discounts on medication. They keep trying to make us pay for unnecessary test on our cat when we know what medicine he needs. The staff seem rude too and talked to me and my fiancé like we're idiots.

Staff is awesome! However, their bannfield plan sucks! Do not pay for this! Go elsewhere. It's expensive and do NOT cover many things.
