If I could give no stars I would. Let me explain that I have been a loyal customer for well over 6 years with my baby Lili. We NEVER visit except for our annual appointment because she was always very healthy. So when I call for the first time ever saying, "I need my baby to be seen, SOMETHING IS WRONG" I am under the impression that they will take me seriously. Negative, whoever is scheduling simply states we we can see her on Sunday......SUNDAY!!!! 4 DAYS AWAY!!! In desperation I agree, then am told this is drop off only, that I am to drop her off between 9:30 am and 11:00 and they will get to her when the vet has a chance. She then proceeds to ask me what is the reason for my visit. I tell her that I just got home from work and Lili is having a very hard time breathing, my sister who was with her all day told me that she has not moved all day and refused to eat or drink. She is quite for a second and then simply says, "ok, see you Sunday" and hangs up. I know that there is no way that Lili will survive until Sunday, I call all the 24 hr vets in the area and are referred to The Center for Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Care. I call them and tell them the exact same symptoms. Their response was she definitely needs to be seen tonight, "When can you get here?". This is what I expected, we rush her there and after a few tests find that her insides are full of blood. She had been bleeding internally and was slowly suffocating. She did not make it through the night after a difficult decision was made. BUT she was able to rest comfortably and pass peacefully because of their swift actions. For this I am extremely grateful. I cringe at the very thought of the slow painful death that Banfield had doomed her to as she and I waited on Sunday. Thanks for nothing, you will never again receive a dime from me or my family.

I was given a free vet visit coupon for Banfield vet when I bought dog food at Petsmart Castle Hills. My dog had been limping and i thought I would get sn opinion. I brought my dog to see a Dr Hari and he was examining my dog . I gave the tech my coupon and he immediately handed my dog back to me and left the room. We asked for price of xrays and we're left for 10 minutes while the tech got the price. $442 for 3 xrays having them read and expedited. I was in shock. Besides being ignored by Dr. after I gave coupon, this price is outrageous. They are only in it for the $$$$. Very cold vet and attitude totally changed after I gave coupon. Take your dog elsewhere

Don't go here!! We took our rescued kitten here today. They were so unprofessional, rude, impatient, and rough with the kitten... And us. They ddn't look at his teeth or check his heart or respiration. Gave him medicine without knowing his age. Couldn't determine his age. Didn't even tell us what they were giving him. Couldn't communicate well with Dr.Smith or her assistant at all! They talked down to us yet didn't even seem to know protocol for basic things such as determining age and to check vitals before administering meds! They took my young daughter to the back room without me after they said she couldn't go back there. Freaked me out! They snapped at her for asking questions about administering the medication. I am not even sure we needed all the meds tbey sold us. Worried to give this stuff to such a young kitten. Will have to research these meds before we trust them. Smdh. Weird, scary, expensive and unprofessional.

Banfield (Lewisville, TX Castle Hills): Staff Neglected My Dog and Contributed to his Death If you want to keep your pets for many years…. DO NOT USE THIS BANFIELD CLINIC Wednesday March 29, 2017 Events • 11:20 AM: Contacted Banfield to advise my 13 pound Shih Tzu still had diarrhea symptoms. Front desk clerk (Cody) said bring him in. I stated still showing symptoms because my son) contacted Banfield the day before about the symptoms. They advised to wait one day, keep him hydrated and feed him white chicken and rice. • 11:40 AM: Arrived at Banfield: Explained my dog’s symptoms (loose bowels, lethargic, not eating and only taking small sips of water). Front-desk staff (3 people) appeared confused and uncertain about treatment and cost. Finally quoted $311 without a clear explanation of suggested tests. • 11:42 AM: Contacted my son and explained the situation. He called Banfield and spoke to a female staffers. She poorly explains the tests. My son advised he would speak with me before making a decision. • 11:48 AM: Consulted with my son while still at Banfield. He agreed to the doctor examination, performing required tests for diarrhea and prescribing medications as needed. • 11:50 AM: Returned to the front desk and explained what treatments we wanted. One female staffer quoted estimated price of $80 to $180 without prescriptions cost. I agreed with cost of doctor’s examination and two tests. Asked for estimated pick-up time. Was advised the doctor was in surgery, but would see him soon after. • 2:48 PM: Contacted Banfield for update and pick-up status. A female informed me the doctor was preparing his medication and he should be ready shortly. • 4:48 PM: Contacted Banfield for pick-up. A female informed me to come and the doctor would talk with me. • 5:10 PM: Arrived at Banfield. The doctor tells me the staff said we declined all treatments. HE HAD NOT BEEN PROVIDED ANY CARE OR TREATMENT. Words can’t explain the EXPLOSION OF ANGER I felt deep-down inside my soul. He was there OVER 5 hours WITHOUT ANY CARE. HE WAS POOPING LIQUIDS WHEN I LEFT HIM. The doctor then explains it must have been a miscommunication between the staff. WHY WOULD I LEAVE HIM THERE IF I REFUSED ALL TREATMENTS? WHY WOULD THEY KEEP HIM THERE IF I REFUSED ALL TREATMENTS? WHY WOULD THEY TELL ME AT 2:48PM THAT THE DOCTOR WAS PREPARING HIS MEDICATION IF I REFUSED ALL TREATMENTS? • 5:15 PM: Contacted my son to explain this INJUSTICE AND INHUMAN treatment. Words can’t explain the EXPLOSION OF ANGER he stated and felt deep down inside his soul. • 5:20 PM: Doctor completed rush examination and the two original requested tests. Prescribes two medications and Banfield’s special gastrointestinal dog food. • 5:40 PM: He is delivered to the exam room (wet, frighten and shaking uncontrollable). Wet because he pooped during the day. Well, YES he pooped, HE WAS POOPING UPON HIS ARRIVAL. Still pooping upon my return. No efforts to assist me in the clean-up. No additional advice on prescriptions or home care. Too busy calculating cost and providing Banfield’s card for special Banfield dog food. I pay, purchase the dog food and leave this horrific place and experience. • 6:10 PM: Arrive home with a traumatized dog. Wait for him to settle down, gives him water and his medicine. He throws up the medicine, will not drink or eat and is very lethargic. • 7:30 PM: He was transported to an emergency 24 hour clinic. Bubba passes away! • Thursday March 30th (9:01 AM): Contacted Banfield to alert the staff that Bubba died last night. Cody (front-desk clerk) offered no comfort, but debated/denied the day’s events. I ask you again then…. WHY WOULD I LEAVE HIM THERE IF I REFUSED ALL TREATMENT? WHY WOULD THEY KEEP HIM THERE IF I REFUSED ALL TREATMENT? I’m writing this compliant at 10:10 AM Saturday April 1st and NO ONE HAS CONTACTED ME FROM BANFIELD!

We went in for a rabies shot and a wellness check on our recently acquired puppy. The staff was friendly and helpful, and explained things thoroughly. As soon as our pup Bella got in the car, she seemed like something was wrong, but we assumed it was from the vaccine. We made the 10 min ride home, and then let her out of the car to potty and she wobbled and fell over. We immediately called Banfield and they instructed us to rush her back to them. We get there and the staff drops everything to get Bella backnow to a room. After what seemed like hours, the veterinarian comes in noticeably worried and tells us Bella has had a severe allergic reaction to the vaccine. The vet continues and tells us to get Bella to the ER. Me and my family go numb; we cannot afford an ER visit. Before we can even speak, our vet says "Banfield will cover the costs. Go now." We are in shock but go without question! We make it there and Bella is admitted overnight with constant watch. She recovers, but since we had to work and couldn't be there to watch Bella, Banfield insisted we bring her there! The staff kept her comfortable and happy. We are so thankful for the staff at Castle Hills Banfield, and for such an amazing company policy to cover such things! Bella wouldn't be with us today without that policy. We will forever be loyal patients and cannot thank team Castle Hills enough!
