Since I have opened an account with Bank of the West in Visalia, CA, it seems like every time I come into the bank, I am met with very uppity individuals who act like they don't want to help me. They ask me to wait, then take an unnecessary amount of time before assisting me and I come in when the bank is not busy. When their attitude changes, I will change my rating, until then, they should really work on their customer service skills!

I have banked here for over 25 years and I can't say enough good things about them.  Yes, the parking can annoy me at times but the employees are the very best.  They know me by name and are always friendly and willing to help and "chat" when they can.  You guys are GREAT!!!

The website is awful! The log in process is atrocious. They don't even handle their own payments online. They go through Western Union. I can't wait to be done with this bank!

I used to be an extremely loyal customer... Have banked with BOW for 12 years now but in the last year and a half they have made so many changes to my account and to their bank which has now made them a regular bank... where they used to stand out. 1. I had a free checking account for 11 years, last july i lost that and had to pay a $12 service fee if i didnt meet a certain criteria which was fine until i had heart surgery and no longer got direct deposits... then i got a charge. Also an issue with my savings account working as over draft of which i was never charged for transfers for that and have as of this year... so no charges in 11 years then bam 2 in 1 year. FYI I dont know if its just the visalia location but you can no longer pull $5 out of the ATM. Now the last stray was the closing of my savings account which i have had since the start of my accounts with BOW. their reason was that it was unused and if that happens they close it and i told them funny i had gone times in the past... longer... with no use and it stayed open. bam you closed it... well Bank of the west as a 12 year customer you lose me as of this year... I opened up and account at chase ;) you suck. thanks for all the crap in the last year!

I called trying to find some Gold or Silver Eagles, the teeny bopper that answered the phone had no idea what I was asking her.  After getting tired of her saying "I'm not sure and I don't think so"  I practically had to force her to ask someone that may have a clue, I think she muted me and counted to 7 and then said that they don't have any in the vault.  I asked her if they were "out" or just didn't ever have them, she reminded me that she had never heard of them...
