Update: Still my favorite bank. Their online systems are still a mess and it causes issues. However they do try really hard to resolve the issue. Banner called, emailed, and messaged me several times in the last 2 weeks while they tried to resolve the issue. They came up with a temporary fix. The fix doesn't solve the problem well but is workable. The effort and personal attention however is why I choose them as my primary bank. Thanks. If the online system is ever fixed I will update the review. Edit: So this branch is still incredible. I love the staff however my rating went way down for one reason: the banner bank online system is a MESS. They recently transitioned to a new system, but they didn't fully transition all accounts. This means the online system repeatedly locks accounts. It also means that thing like quickbooks and mint no longer work with their online accounts. I was planning on switching all of my primary accounts to banner because their staff are incredible, but now I am considering closing my accounts instead because they are now unusable. Original: So far I have been very pleased with Banner. We opened a new checking and savings account with them. They were helpful, nice, played with my 3 year old, and polite. My 3 year old loved the toy box while I filled out paperwork. We are also in the process of buying a house. Banner is likely to be who we choose for our mortgage. So far their costs and rate are lower than other local competitors. They also have free coffee (latte, hot chocolate,etc) in the lobby while you wait. I have to give a call out to Dave H in their loan department. He was fantastic to work with and really flexible. He was willing to rush through funding faster than normal, he floated my rate down, saving me thousands over the life of my loan. He was very responsive to my emails and - much to my glee - was willing to transact almost exclusively by email. I prefer digital to all those paper copies. This, so far, has been my best experience with the banking sector, normally known for being bloodsuckers. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
