Story

Baptist Health Lexington, an award-winning 391-bed acute and skilled care facility, is also known for medical research and education. It is also one of the few hospitals in the nation to be designated a Magnet® hospital for nursing excellence three times by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. In 2014 and 2015, the hospital was named the best in Kentucky by U.S. News & World Report.
Specialized, comprehensive patient services include cancer, heart and stroke care, women’s health (including mother and baby care), orthopedics, sleep disorders and rehabilitation.
All hospital rooms are now private as part of a $246 million expansion project including the North Tower, which houses a cancer center, medical/surgical areas, inpatient imaging and a women’s center.
Established in 1954 as Central Baptist, the hospital has a strong commitment to its community, demonstrated through its health screenings/fairs and events such as A Midsummer Night’s Run and the Children’s Charity Classic.
Baptist Health offers 49 points of care in the Lexington area through a network of healthcare providers for patients – from Baptist Health Medical Group offices, to Baptist Health Express Care inside Walmart stores and Baptist Health Occupational Medicine.

Triage is more like a lobby of patients, they never have rooms in the back, must not be equip for more than 20 patients. The front desk staff has a male with a cool hair cut that is very rude! Chest pains & pregnancy mean nothing to them no priority. Watched someone code on the lobby because they are so nonchalant about care. Very upset today for all my other doctors are here and they are nice but right now I'm thinking about leaving Because don't feel comfortable....and definitely no value

Best hospital I have ever had experience with, amazing customer patient care! More RN"s per patient and everyone from the transporters to the RNs to the techs are focuses on patient and family member satisfaction and care. Thanks to everyone ICU and 6th North, plus imagery and PT .. Everyone.

It wasn't the doctors or nurses that i have a complaint about. It's BILLING. I never received a BiLL from them,NOT ONE. And they go ahead and send it to collections? wow.....I would expect more from such a big nice hospital..Now i have to straighten my credit report out and i guess PAY the bill..If they would have sent me one right after services were rendered, i would have paid it..Its such a minuscule bill, only $100.00...wow,thats all i have to say.

First of all, I'm very thankful for health insurance and being able to have access to doctors. HOWEVER, took my husband to the ER and was there almost five hours. For stomach flu. An IV did the trick. But, every time we were told they were going to do something more (like a CT scan of his abdomen, a chest x-ray, an EKG), it took a huge amount of time for each of these procedures to be completed. He eventually started calling the nurses station to ask what his status was. Two things came to mind -- why all the tests (and yes, we have good insurance) and why the lack of timely attention? Absolutely the staff was very nice. The doctor was nice and very, very explanatory. Still, something was amiss leaving us questioning ethics and hospital mission. We've always presented at this ER when we've had medical emergencies; however, we both questioned whether or not we would come back again in the future.

Excellent experience. Helpful employees at every turn. In stressful situations it's nice to be treated as a friend. Coffee in the morning,PRICELESS.....Love y'all
