The house salad was terrific.  Right balance of greens to dressing served family style.
The clam pizza was to die for, I would never have tried it on my own but after having a piece I couldn't stop eating it. Their other pizzas were also very delicious.  I just couldn't stop eating the clam pie.  If I'm in New Haven, l will eat at Bar every chance I get.

One of New Haven’s best places for Pizza. If you like a super thin crust than Bar is for you. The classic cheese pizza is always a winner. Excellent selection of beers that pair well with all their pizzas. Once you’ve consumed your fair share of pizza and beer go hit the nightclub. That’s right... night club! Bar - what an experience!

So many great toppings to try for their unique pizza pies. I recommend a red pie with mozzarella, fresh basil and mashed potato. Their peppers, onion and sausage pies are great too. Goes perfectly alongside the signature salad they've always served, with a micro brew to wash it down. A good place to eat with two or twenty friends, though call anyway for a big group so you don't wait forever.

Love this place - been coming here for years. They make their own beer. Their mashed potato and bacon pizza is off the hook and is a popular favorite of New Haven locals. The Apple salad is also amazing and is great for feeding a large group. The beer selection includes beer made in house and off premises, with some great IPAs on the list.

BAR is a New Haven staple. I truly love, love this place. Many birthdays and evenings spent here. Everyone knows about the mashed potato pizza (get bacon) and all the brews.  But...Place hasn't changed in forever, still great quality, food is delicious.  Four stars...nothing new.  Simple as that.
