I started coming here when I was a freshman in college in the fall of 2012. And now that I'm older, I only stop in once and a while. However, I saw a few reviewers trying to bad-mouth THE BEST 18+ NIGHTSPOT in new haven for college students... and I had to put in my 2 cents:

If you are a semi-respectable individual in their late teens/early 20's who can handle their liquor; and are looking for a consistently LIT college club to party at and make memories... Gotham City is where it's at.

However, if you can't handle your liquor, you aren't respectful to others, and/or you are sensitive/uptight af... Gotham City might not be the place for you. Try attending a hipster open-mic night instead; or return back to your hardcore studying habits in lieu of even attemting to party.

If you can't have a good time at Gotham, it because of something that is YOUR fault... not the nightclub's fault :)

Place is trash. Workers are trash. People inside were looking for fights. Don't waste paying your cover here it's not worth it

So I'm actually here as I write this. The bartender at least one "big boss in general wouldn't give a cup of water that's fine whatever, make your money. BUT he took the cup of ice I had and threw it away as I said no no no. Like I asked for water he said no waited and then as I grabbed my cup (which had just ICE) because I eat the ice to cool my body down before I overheat and he threw it away. What made itr worse was trhat he thought this was a joke and wouldn't give me a new cup of at least ice. Like dude. It's ice. Congrats Gotham, lost a long time customer because one staff member decided to basically dehydrate me.

Good club, good music! They have two separate rooms with different music playing, kinda small but fun! I read comments before posting this one and I have to say that as I walked through the crowd nudging ppl out of my way I didn't even get a dirty look so I will definitely go back.
