About

With 1600+ motorcycles, the BVMM is the largest motorcycle museum in the world, with the greatest vintage Lotus racecar collection in N. America.

Story

The Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum, a 501(c)(3) Not for Profit Foundation, is located at the 880-acre Barber Motorsports Park, in Birmingham, AL. The museum, which is home to over 1,500 motorcycles, is dedicated to restoring, preserving, and exhibiting automotive history.

It's an exciting place to be! Each October, the museum hosts the Barber Vintage Festival, which is the largest vintage motorcycle event in the country. Each May, the museum hosts Barber Historics, which is a three-day weekend celebrating vintage cars and racing.

Barber Motorsports Park has hosted hundreds of major races since it opened in 2003, including eight weekends of the Honda Indy Grand Prix of AL and 14 weekends of Superbike Racing. The sound of cars and motorcycles on the track is something you get to hear on most days and weekends.

In addition to motorcycles and cars, there are art exhibits throughout the museum and park. The museum also has two pedestrian bridges for museum members to enjoy during certain yearly events.

Members enjoy free admission to the museum, invitations to members-only events, a subscription to the quarterly Vintage Insider News, and more. Learn more about the Barber Museum at www.barbermuseum.org.

We're excited to see you here!

Awesome I have been here many times. Nice recent building addition for dirt, motocross and ice motorcycles. I spent the extra $$$ for the private tour. Which was excellent as Jack (tour guide) was with original museum and his triumph bike was out front that he rode to work. Only downer no food other than vending.

Fantastic display of motor vehicles etc! Lighting is exceptional for captoring each display individually or as a group. Recommended watching the short video from the theater first. If you visit during a track day, you are in for a bonus treat. The sound of motors roaring by on the track really set this museum on top of places every motorcycle enthusiasts should want to visit.

I"d Recommend this place to anyone that's a race enthusiast. There's 5 stories of awesome bikes and cars. The turn 9 membership is worth it if you are interested into restoring vehicles as it includes seminars on restoring.

Lovely place for a good history lesson in moterbikes, also a fair bit of race car history too. Also has a race track out back where you can either watch bikes go round the track, or drive around yourself. Highly recommend if you're a bike or racing fanatic, very friendly staff as well!!!

World class museum for motorcycles (old and new) and F1 cars. Amazing place. Plan at least half a day to see everything. I prefer a full day.
