I have been a customer at Baris Auto for many years. They are honest and  provide excellent service. They treat my vehicles as if they were their own.  I trust Baris Auto.

We had our first major snowstorm this week, and my daughter's car battery died. During a very busy, bad weather day Baris Auto was able to fit us in and replaced the car battery within an hour. We trust the care of all of our cars to Baris and have been extremely pleased with their service for a very long time. I highly recommend them!

I moved to Fairport about 20 years ago. I needed work on my SUV about 15 years ago and stumbled onto Baris Auto.  They do excellent work, are reasonably priced, and I never feel like they ripped me off when I leave there.  Turnaround time is very fast. If you live on the east side of town: Fairport, Perinton, Penfield, East Rochester or even Victor, I go to Baris before I went to anyone else.  Finding a good honest mechanic is like finding a pot of gold.

BEWARE!! Baris Auto charged me $91 just for LOOKING at my car - without telling me there was any possibility of incurring charges. I didn't sign anything. I could have gone to auto zone and read the codes myself. And if I still didn't know, I could have taken it to Sears or any of the local garages that do not charge for estimates. I support local, small businesses whenever I can, but not at the expense of being deceived and charged  for services I never agreed to. The only time I've ever been charged for an estimate before was when dealing with a dealership. No auto shop has ever charged me "labor" for an estimate. I totally understand the need to be paid for services provided and have no issue paying for services I agreed to pay for. I do not understand expecting customers to pay for labor they never approved and were never even consulted about. If they realized they were doing more than just reading the codes and doing simple tests, they should have informed me they would charging for labor and asked if I wanted them to proceed. At the very least, they should inform their customers they charge for estimates. Don't make the same mistake I did. These guys are not trustworthy.
