Unquestionably one of the worst banks in Florida. Most South Florida banks have always had lousy reputations, but this one takes the cake. The Aventura office was their "prime" area office after taking over another lousy bank. Today, it took 5 tries - until the limit on rings had been reached - in order for someone to answer the phone, then put me on hold. Someone else with a difficult to understand accent finally answered. The Head Teller was out. The Manager was gone for the day. "What do you want?" Service! Which they offer little of.

I've been to more BB&T banks than I can count, and this is the worst.  It doesn't matter if you drive thru or use s lobby teller, the service is abysmal. And it's been this way for years, at least the 7 years I've wintered in Aventura.  You would think that with its prime location, this regional bank would ensure adequate staffing, training and supervision.  But here it is certainly not about the customer!

The change of culture from Bank Atlantic to BB&T was not easy to accept but like all large banks they have internal procedures, rules and other that does not always follow logic/common sense. The employees are also limited to what their computers allow them to do and it usually causes unnecessary delays and manager approvals. Ursula and Caridad, two people from the good ol days of Bank Atlantic still work at this location and hope they do not leave or change locations. There are certain days and times which this location is extremely busy but the staff and managers do their best to accommodate.  Another negative is the location. With or without rush hour traffic the shopping center is difficult to enter and exit.  It is not typical to have a quick trip to this BB&T location.  I am not sure about other locations.
However, the wire transfer initiation via telephone feature is very convenient. Therefore as long as Ursula, Caridad and telephone wire transfers remain, I will too remain at BB&T.

Real bad customer service. Super slow tellers, desks where account specialists sit are empty most of the time, no one even looks or acknowledge when a customer walks in, making client feel ignored. Lots of fees on their business accounts added in the last 2 years. I am finally closing my account there this month after finishing my corporate taxes. Typical slacker Miami customer service attitude that should be mostly blamed on branch manager for not being on top of it.

Costumer service is horrible there is a female teller older woman in her late 48s I believe that she is from El Salvador every time my wife goes she has the most arongant unwelcome face! Even though I am paying for a service not a favor she won't say as courtesy good afternoon or good bye and she never look at my eyes and make you feel not welcome! I believe that costumer service training is a must!
