Nice piece of Rhode Island. Great scenery. Nice place to have a picnic or bring your dog. There are public restrooms but no food vendors. There is also a light house museum that has sea life exhibits that kids will enjoy. The best thing to do in my opinion is to explore the rocks along the shore. Be careful doing that with little kids or if your a person who is not used to that sort of thing. Just be careful when you are close to the water. You could easily slip and the currents can be very strong.

Beavertail is our go to place when we need an ocean fix.....and we live an hour away. We like this so much better than the overcrowded beach scene. Just love this park. Although it can seem pretty crowded when it comes to parking, there is lots of room to climb on the rocks or just sit and enjoy the views so it never seems crowded at all. Afterward we always stop at Chopmist Charlies in Jamestown for some great seafood!

Beautiful park which is close enough to the mayo clinic in rochester in the event that you need to decompress.
