This is a nice place. I learned to scuba dive here (several of the local shops use this as their open-water dive), I've gone to the Folk and Jazz festivals here, and I brought my mom here when she visited from inland. If people want to spend time by the ocean, but have limited walking endurance, you can drive right up, drop them off at the little pavilion, then park the car. I also like historic forts, but that seems less relevant for a review, as it has probably been covered in previous reviews.

I like this park however they are hurting for funding. A lot of work Too restore it but please do check this spot out. You can catch a ferry from here, tour the Fort interior (fee), tour the exterior (free), see concerts, reenactments, the tall ships, etc etc

Very detailed tour covering the interesting history of this fort. Late in the afternoon it was basically a private tour with 4 of us to a guide. Some aspects of the fort as being restored and renovated, so the tour is slowly expanding. Worked out perfectly with our tours of the historic mansions.

Very cool place. The day we were there it was brutally cold so we didn't stay long. However it was fascinating. Not to mention the beautiful views.
