Actually zero stars. I went there in the 60's and it was nice. I even took my kids there. I won't go near it now. Too many transients, open drug/alcohol use, profanity, trash all over. Scary place now, used to be nice family spot.

Good facility for youth of all ages who like to skateboard and/or ride bikes and Razors. Unfortunately, foul mouthed teens, weed smoking onlookers, and cigarette smoking men spoiled the otherwise family friendly atmosphere during both our visits with grandchildren. Guess everyone needs a place to hang out.

This park has tons of potential, but has perpetually given off a run-down vibe. The upper and lower parking lots are more than adequate for the amount of traffic the park receives, and disabled parking is located both near the public restrooms and the parks decently sized grassy area. There are a few old picnic tables in the grass, but short of using steps on a stairway not much else is provided for seating, particularly if you would like to be a little closer to the water. That said, placing a camp chair down by the water's edge seems fairly popular and certainly affords a better view. A paved bike/walking path that follows the river runs through the park, which in one direction leads to (the much nicer but currently closed for renovation) Riverbend Park, and in the other direction leads toward Centennial Park, Boss Burger, and an historic bridge built in the early 1900's.

All the parks in Oroville have been taken over by druggies and homeless. Disgusting.
