Excellent place to shoot paintballs if you want to go shoot paintballs

2 reviews 1.0 star rating 10/22/2017 My husband and I went there for the zombie shoot and we made an 8 pm reservation but after we payed at the ghetto made tent and table set up with the girl who had a tablet to make payments on ( these people sold tickets at Costco and all they had was one small tablet to do hundreds of transactions on...needless to say the wait to purchase was very long and very unessasary. We went and got in the so called fast track line but while waiting we asked an employee how long the wait would be and he said at least an hour and a half....but we made a reservation for 8 so we would get on the bus til 9:30 so we just decided to get our money back, well they absolutely refused to refund and the reason they gave us is that they don't give refunds! So we would either have to wait or let them steal our money because I'm pretty sure you can only say no refund if services have already been rendered (well according to the law anyway) but what can you expect from dumb rednecks who don't know what they are doing or how to provide good customer service. Also when I asked why they don't give refunds I was yelled at...also the zombie shoot is half as long as use to be and they don't give you as many paintballs as you paid for....total rip off!! I really wouldn't bother with place they are only out to rip people off.

I can't say enough good things about this field. I've now been coming here for over a year, and still, each time I go, it is a new experience. Rentals - The rental equipment is fairly well maintained. Markers - Here or there you may have the occasional small maintenance issue, but thats to be expected with rental markers. CZ also uses (in majority) the Tippmann 98 Custom as their rental marker, which is a very simple, very reliable gun. Maintenance on this marker is easy, which allows the management to quickly fix most issues you have with your marker. Even if your marker is not a rental, management will still do their best to offer insight if your marker malfunctions. Masks - I've seen a fair amount of complaints about the masks being blurred or scratched.Combat Zone does their best to keep their masks in working order, and they will give you paper towels (to a point), and they sell anti-fog liquid to help. That being said, I have played the majority of my games here with a rental mask, and have had little problem. From what I noticed, the worse people are at the sport (myself included), the more they want to find a scapegoat to blame their inability on. Fields - This Park is more geared towards RecBall or Woodsball. Personally, I am a Woodsball player, so I love it. The fields are well-maintained, to a point of realism. Fields like Helicopter and Road are more open and flat (discounting the flank on road) which caters towards supplementing the speedball community, but even so, they are still more oriented towards Rec- and Woodsball. Alternatively, you have fields like Trucks and Dollhouse, which are heavily geared towards woods ball. These fields are intentionally less maintained. This ends up improving the play, because skilled players will use these hazards to their advantage. Then you have Concrete, which is a little bit of everything. Players - With this Park, players range through all styles of paintball. there are Speedball players wearing jerseys, Woodsball and Milsim players wearing camouflage, and Recball players wearing all sorts of things. Tips - I highly suggest calling ahead if you are playing with walk-ons and do not have a group of 6 or more. Every day, there ranges from 0-30+ walk-on players. I've had days where the only people there were my roommate, his girlfriend, myself, and one other walk-on. Alternatively, I've had days where we show up and they are nearly sold out of markers. If you live close by, I suggest not showing up exactly when they open. It often will take about 30 minutes for Field safety checks to be performed, as well as to get operations such as the air station up and running. Also, it may take a bit until other rental/walk-on players start showing up. Alternatively, if you want a match or two among a small group, do show up exactly when they open. Nothing is guaranteed, but if a Ref is free, they will often give you the chance to play a small game or two early. Not a ton of snack or beverages here. They do have a small fridge with some drinks. I highly suggest bringing your own water. If you need food, there is a Sonic Burger, as well as a few other restaurants, down the freeway one or two exits towards Chico. I suggest not eating much. for lunch, and having a good breakfast instead at least 30 minutes before playing. Don't play on a full stomach. Just trust me on that. I play with a Tippmann Project Salvo paintball gun, sometimes a TiPX pistol, and generally wear camo pants and a light green archery t-shirt. My leaf suit will occasionally cover this outfit. I do not carry pods. If you see me playing, feel free to come up and say hi. While I do not consider myself a professional, I've been playing at CZ for a while, and would be happy to give you some pointers. Check out the Combat Zone Paintball Players Facebook group for some pictures. You might find the picture I've posted below of myself doing my best to look like a bush in my leaf-suit. While playing, watch for giant inflatable dinosaurs. They roam wild in this area.

If the owner cared how the park was ran it would be a great place unfortunately that's not the case and you end up paying a lot of money to just sit in the parking lot
