Incredible! Belk continues its role as a Southern Institution and thanks to the employees, the Company remains as important and respected as it was decades ago. I've had the honour attending an Anniversary Event {Whilst with the Regional Chamber} and later one of three "Judges" during a children's Model Show; our primary focus selecting a boy, and girl, to appear in Print Adverts. It was a great time, the food, like the aforementioned event was wonderful, and the Ladies with whom I "Judged" received full-bodied/sets of free {and quite nice} perfumes and accessories, whilst I had a cologne set and a cool box! All events with Bell, were a joy. The GM is the nicest guy, and his Dept. Heads are amazing! 
Most importantly, this is one of the most honest Corporations I know! Ideal Southern Style and Institution!

Will NEVER return to this store again. I was treated like a thief for trying to exchange makeup! An associate rang me up for the wrong make up product as well as giving me a color 10 shades darker than my skin. Upon tryin to exchange it the associate told me my item wasn’t on my receipt. Honestly I don’t even know what she did because she charged me for Clinique when I purchased Estée Lauder. They wanted to refund me for the lowest price; which means I had to pay extra to get the product I needed. When I wouldn’t drop the issue the associate came back to the counter and started talking in a nasty tone and emphasized the fact that this exchange will only be done once EVER ( like I would be back to do it again). Honestly I was going to let it go but she got nastier and my husband had to step in and say something. I also used to be an associate at the Salisbury Belk store. Her actions were completely unprofessional, and I will never return to this store again.

Tried calling about a product and was put on hold for 15 minutes (annoying but understandable if they were busy) but as soon as I was taken off hold they said hello and hung up before I could even un-mute my phone to respond. Then when I tried to call back the phone just rang and rang with no answer at all.

I was approached by a young lady who started helping me and disappeared I then found another woman who was willing and able to assist me she's going out for surgery on her knee she was very kind and actually found the shoe in my size and stayed with me until I purchased the shoe I don't recall her name but she was very nice but the first person was not very helpful I would rather stick with the Belk in Albemarle for they're friendlier and more helpful to Shoppers
