Registers are not always attended down stairs, the shoe dept personel is usually nice & staffed. Upstairs is almost like a whole other store they are more available & attentive making you feel welcomed, appreciated like they want to be there & even if they don't it doesn't show. Contrast to down stairs were there is hardly anyone around to help. They may be there but you can't identify them. As convenient as it is sometimes it's best to go over the bridge where they have more variety & usually better staffed. Many of my acquantances from op go to the avenues.
