Belle Epoque
"Through the Old Absinthe House courtyard lies a clandestine cocktail lounge 200 years in the making. Belle Époque is an homage to Absinthe and its place in New Orleans history. With an elegant cocktail program by Laura Bellucci and decadent French-inflected dining by Chef Hayley Vanvleet, Belle Époque is a new epicurean gem in the French Quarter."

While on vacation, I wanted to check out this old hunt again. We not only found the main room available with seats, but found a back room, which was much nicer for ambience and lack of surrounding noise!‍Julia was the bartender, and was just a lo lots of fun to interact with, quiz, and share information. Thanks for a great experience!
This place seemed slow to open and on several visits this fall I found it closed. But now that Belle has finally opened, you will not be disappointed. They have done a very good job of creating a bar with atmosphere. Mind you this place is very trendy, but it has a vibe that deserves it. The bartenders were great and very knowledgeable mixologists. I did not have to wait to receive my drink. Check out some of the artifacts they have included around the bar. Belle also has food so you do not have to live on bourbon alone -- but if you do; it will be a quality drink.
The back room is nice and quiet with a great bar maid!
A beautiful place with a chill atmosphere. The absinthe was was fantastic. The bartender was fun and entergetic and held a great conversation.
Dropped by this place with a friend who is into absinthe and we decided to order some small plates. Jesus. H. CHRIST. The food was so good it actually made us angry. Everything was amazing, including the dessert. Cocktails were very nicely balanced as well. Definitely a new favorite in NOLA and that's saying a lot in a city full of amazing food options.
A great bar with good service and historic relics. A restful niche off the fun, hectic and perhaps a bit more crazy Bourbon Street.
I think this place is suffering from lack of staff. Visited recently over NYE week. No menus. One bartender. Door was locked at first. Needs help.
Excellent absinthe cocktail and bites. We asked the bartender for 2 bespoke cocktails and weren't disappointed. Chill vibe and much quieter than the regular Bourbon st. Vibe.
This is an amazing little find. The setting is upscale with a very cool vibe. The unique absinthe cocktails are gorgeous and an experience unto itself. Andrew was our server and he was passionate and knowledgeable about the history of the drinks. The while presentation of each drink is a fun mini-show. It’s a quiet oasis right off Bourbon Street
This bar kept coming up on lists of top bars in New Orleans and I was very excited to visit on my first trip to the city. I am very surprised that it is so highly reviewed. My girlfriend and I visited at 9PM on a Thursday when the bar was relatively slow, and I was shocked at how poor the service was. We sat at our table for at least 10 minutes before anyone came by to take an order or acknowledging our presence. After sharing that I was curious about absinthe but had only used it in cocktails before, the waitress curtly recommended I stick to the cocktails, and after several leading questions, seemed utterly disinterested in sharing anything about the menu. We went next door to the other absinthe bar that’s owned by the same company and the service was swift and unpretentious. If you are someone who values good service over a glamorous façade, I suggest you do the same.
