The pizza here is good enough, really oily. The tables, seats, and restroom may not be the cleanest.
Previous experience here during the weekend was great, white gentleman during the weekend was phenomenal and patient. But not today, at 5pm on a Monday, the employee working light skinned gentleman was an absolute disgrace as an employee. He ignored my friend and I as we entered while standing in the pizza area with a fresh pizza just out of the oven, and inside was completely empty except us and him.. my friend wanted a slice of pizza and the employee told her no, that the pizza was for the hotel. We then got 2 32oz frozen slushes.. and my friend needed to use the washroom, and he ignored us, then while my friend was in the washroom the light skinned employee walked up to me still standing at the counter with our drinks where we had just paid, & asked me to stop crowding his counter top with my stuff my friends bag with a mug souvenir. Despite the fact he knew I was standing at the counter with 2 drinks and my friends stuff while she used the washroom.
Great daiquiri’s!! I got strawberry so flavorful and yummy with a kick!! They have pizza too !!
I have been coming to the Daiquiris Delight Bar for over 19 years and this year the experience I had with an African American light skinned gentleman was the worst ever!! I referred a friend of mine here last week & she shared the rude experience she had with the same gentleman and I refused to believe it until I experienced it myself. If the owner reads this, I recommend immediate termination. His attitude and lack of professionalism is appalling. I am so enraged, I’m searching up and down Bourbon Street for a place or sign for the general public to wage a complaint! My tradition of Daiquiri’s Delight Bar has been forever ruined & nothing speaks as loud as word of mouth…if you see him at counter, go the other way!!! Too many great daiquiri shops to suffer through horrible customer service. If he’s not there, customer service is great from others.
So the lady behind the counter needs to learn some basic respect and manners. Not sure who she thought she was talking to. I went over there the night of the 4th because it was like the only daquiri place open past midnight. So I order and she hands me my drink and tells me it'll be $34. I took one look at her and the drink and said "That's ok" and started to leave, left the drink on the counter because that price is outrageous. So this woman proceeds to call me out and starts running her mouth about how I have to pay for it even though I didn't touch the drink. Even threatened to throw me in jail and then told me to never return lmao. She's like a reverse Karen. Needless to say, I will gladly heed her command, no plans to return. Too much salt in those drinks I'm sure
The absolute worse experience I ever had. I ordered a frozen cocktail, the guy takes the order then proceeded to take several pizza orders and a few drinks from other people. I finally got tired of waiting and said hey. He says 1 minute. Clearly he forgot my drink. He makes me a drink and as my cousin and I are saying he forgot he's like no I didn't and pulled some random drink from behind the counter saying I didn't forget. I declined that drink saying I didn't see you make that, give me the one you just made and he refused saying no refunds. This guy claimed to be the manager and refused to give me the fresh drink or my money back. I think he is mentally ill. Stay away from this place, go to Willie's cause you never know what this place is serving you. It could be someone else's previous order that went wrong. Horrible all across the board!
I ordered the cajun storm daiquiri. It was pretty good!
$8 for a large coke. No refill. . I thought refills were included while eating pizza. Who does this.? Avoid.
**This is a review of the pizza only.** I have not been to this place, but they make the pizzas for Royal Sonesta room service, which is my experience with them. I was expecting a "just ok" hotel pizza, but was surprised to have received a truly delicious pizza with a perfect crust and tasty toppings. I am talking GOOD pizza, so good I felt compelled to write this review. Now I'll have to try one of their daiquiris. Notes for "crust people": Bottom of crust is thin but not flaky or crispy. Edge of crust is about 0.75 inches 2cm thick, has that "bite" to the outside with a nice, chewy inside--not doughy or too bready, but also not your typical "thin 'n' crispy" thin-crust pizza crust.
We ordered a pepperoni pizza that was delicious. The service was great. The guy behind the counter was very friendly and informative as to things to see and do in New Orleans. We will be back and definitely recommend it!
