Truck broke down and nobody called me to tell me. I called three times to find out when they were arriving and left a message before I was told the truck broke down during a call I made to the company. Still haven't gotten a call back about what my options are. It's Friday and I'm supposed to drive 2,000 miles starting on Sunday... it's almost 3pm and I still haven't heard back. Thank you for the worst communication and worst customer service, during an already stressful time.

Our movers were GREAT! We had an unexpected second pickup-to-storage and the same crew came back again and were wonderful. We had a second crew for delivery in another state, and they, too, were fabulous. The rep and coordinator did a great job of keeping in touch. Best of all, our things arrived only one day after moving into our new home in a new state! The only thing damaged was the piano, but it is cosmetic only.

I had wonderful experience with Berger Storage & Transfers. As like other moves are always painful and hard to choose the movers company for shifting your stuff. Finally I choose Berger for my Move from Minnesota MN to Austin,TX. Melanie and David are the best employers I must say who keep me posted all way until I got my stuff. Secondly they delivered the stuff as it is they loaded from my MN Place. Nothing is broken and no scratches. I would give them 5 star rating .. and would like to choose them again for my move.

August 2014 - Good, Bad & Ugly (My 4th long distance move - TX -> CA) Update October 2014 Great service before they get paid; after not so much Good ⦁ Customer service - prompt return of emails/phone calls ⦁ Pick-up - on-time, crew of 3 worked hard, less than 2 hours Bad ⦁ Asks to deliver at 5 PM; shows up at 7 PM ⦁ I have to help in order to beat a 10 PM apartment curfew; finished at 9:45 PM ⦁ Two missing boxes ⦁ Missing boxes arrive 10 days later; boxes are damaged - $300 damages; filed claim - 1 week later have not heard from claims adjuster Ugly ⦁ Estimator did not accurately determine weight ⦁ Over phone estimator tells me they will weigh and adjust the price ⦁ Estimated weight is 2500 lbs heavier than actual (Est 6000 lbs; actual 3500 lbs, to be fair I removed approximately 500 lbs of goods) ⦁ Estimator informs me that no, the price quote is the actual price; although agrees to adjust the price by $250. Summary Paid to move 6000 lbs and they only moved 3500 lbs. Estimate was off by 40%; they agreed to refund 5%. Filed a BBB complaint. Will update review if the BBB complaint goes anywhere. BBB claim went no where. Allied claims department dismissed my claim for damages because the boxes were customer packed. Filed another BBB claim and then the refunded me $460. Long distance moves are a hassle. Wouldn't use Allied again. I think next move whatever fits in the car moves; everything else gets sold. Update Filed A BBB report on them; they responded but did not agree to adjust the bill. They had initially agreed to refund $250; 1 month later and no refund. Filed a claim on 2 boxes that were damaged. The boxes were shipped separately as they were "lost". Arrived 10 days later and looked like they had been dropped off a truck and then sat in a puddle. Contents were broken; around $300 worth of damages. Claims folks dismissed the claim as the boxes were customer packed. Bought the insurance on this move for $400; not sure what it covered but it doesn't cover the the contents of any box I packed.
