I was renting a condo for two years and payed my rent on time every single month for those two years.  In January of my second year of renting, one of the toilets started running all the time.  I contacted the property manager twice a week for the next 2 months leaving messages on the "emergency line".  After awhile, I just gave up and let it run.  I wasn't paying for the water bill anyway.  The toilet ran for the next 11 months that I was in the apartment.

I purchased a house in August of my second year of renting.  My lease wasn't up until the end of January, so I told them about my purchase in a phone conversation.  I called up in Mid september when I was almost finished moving out of the apartment to see if a new renter had been found.  They hadn't even started the process. I had to come down and sign a lease termination agreement apparently before they could start the process.  It would've been nice to tell me about that in August...

Over the next 3.5 months they tried to find another tenant to replace me but they were unsuccessful.  I had to pay the rent and electricity for the 3.5 months that I was not even living there.  

Then, as I approached the end of my lease, I tried to contact the property manager about signing out of my apartment.  It took about a week of leaving messages to finally get her on the phone.  When I did get to talk to her, she said I had to clean the apartment again because it had been sitting for 3.5 months (I had cleaned it when I moved out in September).  I was going away for the holidays, and didn't have time (because it took a week to get her on the phone) so I had to pay for a cleaning service.

Then, the icing on the cake.  20 days after my lease was over, I get a letter from Prudential Towne Realty about my rent payment being late for the month of January!  I was hoping it would be my deposit which I still haven't recieved back (20 days).  These guys can't even figure out when to stop collecting my rent, no wonder they couldn't rent an apartment in 3.5 months.  I called about the rent issue, but surprise surprise... they don't answer the phone and haven't gotten back to me yet.

The property manager either doesn't care what the tenants think or is completely overworked.  

Note: this review is only about the property management of rental prorties.  However, when I purchased my house I did not use Prudential's real estate agents because of my experience with their property managers.
