They room was great. We have been told they remolded recently by others in the area and it looks nice. There is no elevator and we were on the 2nd floor, not a big problem. Staff did offer help with luggage if we needed it. Breakfast was a lot of starch items and not a lot of protein type items, biscuits and gravy and waffles were the main items. So we eat next door.

Nice place to stay. The Lobby & Breakfast area is remodeled & looks nice. We had a ground level room with an outside door(& inside), which we could park in front of. The beds were very comfy.. King-size pillow-top. Breakfast was OK, more fruit would have been nice. I would recommend this hotel!

This is where my parents and I always stay every year when we spend spring break in Spearfish. Beds are comfortable as is the shower. The adjacent restaurant is also really good.

The room was spacious, quiet and somewhat clean. The hallway area was dirty and musty smelling. We almost turned around to leave immediately but we were too tired from traveling with young daughter across the country. Do not count on eating the breakfast. The same breakfast must have been put out for a week. The yogurt was expired by more than a week, the bread was stale and the fruit was soft and turning. The extra expense incurred by eating out every morning was disappointing. Admittedly, I didn't report the issues during my trip but I did ask for follow-up afterward before publishing this review and did not receive it.

Remodeling. Avoid this place at least until the remodeling is completed. Based on the glowing comments from other posters I assume this is ordinarily a pretty nice hotel. However, my experience was not so pleasant. The office is closed so you have to register in one of the rooms. By itself that's not so bad but, it also means no coffee in the lobby and no continental breakfast. No elevator. Apparently other maintenance duties are being neglected as well since the shower drain was completely clogged and I was standing in 6 inches of water by the time I finished my shower. I looked in the bathroom after I packed up and it still hadn't drained. That kind of clog doesn't form over night, that tub has been neglected for a long time. On the plus side they do use a Keurig in the room to make coffee and they have a breakfast blend that was surprisingly good.
