Hello! Madison, Thank you, for taking the time to share your thoughts. I am happy you found the food excellent and the lodge beautiful. When your hunt was booked with the team captain the hunt chosen was a three-day deer hunt. We offer longer hunts but that was not chosen. The terms on the invoice are always the same, check out from the lodge is no later than 11:00am unless other arrangements were made prior to your arrival, ex: staying the last night and departing after breakfast the next day. The staff needs to be able to have enough time to prepare the rooms for the next group coming in. Some hunters choose to leave after the hunt on the last day as they like to get a head start getting home. This is what your team chose. With many hunts, deer, and waterfowl for example you leave very early in the morning and don’t come back until the end of the day, so many of the hunters just take their personal items and store them at their station in the gear room. Again, this is stated on your invoice and I always remind the hunters on their last day in case anyone forgot. As some hunters do forget and leave a suitcase in their room, with you gone hunting we will carry the gear to your station so you have everything you need when you depart. The facility we offer to keep all your equipment and hunting clothes, offers a private, heated changing room for anyone that would like it. Arrival for the new guests coming in is between 4:00pm and 5:00pm, if you got back late or in their excitement the guests arrive early I can see why there was an overlap, and I am sorry you felt uncomfortable. We can understand your disappointment in not harvesting your first whitetail buck with a bow. At your safety and general meeting upon arrival we always ask customers to please let us know of any concerns, so we have an opportunity to make corrections while you are here, not to wait until the guest gets home and then there is nothing we can do. If we had your input or suggestions of stand locations while you were here we would have been happy to change your location to a different stand or adjust the stand. We appreciate your comment and we will certainly try to do better in the future. Sincerely, Teri and Dave

Lodge and hospitality was first class! Miss Terry can COOK! Hunt was good and would have better had if the weather had cooperated! I’ll be back! The phesant hunting was GREAT! The ducks and geese were everywhere, but we needed the nasty weather! Guides were all top shelf! Andy and Neil were phenomenal and so were Jack and Boone (dogs)!

The over all experience was different than normal hunting trips. I am used to hunting atmosphere and more days of hunting. It was more like a bed and breakfast. The house was beautiful but over the top because it didn’t give you the hunting lodge rustic feel we were used to. The food was excellent but didn’t need to be as formal. As far as the hunt. Three day was not enough. You just started learning the land and the deer habits and it was over. Not only that you had three days of hunting but when you returned to the house on your final night you found all of your close taken from the house, put in the garage, and your hunting gear pushed aside to make room for the next hunters. So the next hunters excited and standing by you asking how your hunting was while you stripped down, having to dress in front of them, and frustrated because your personal stuff and hunting gear had been placed in the middle of the floor. More on the hunting I am a very experienced hunter. I didn’t agree with a lot of what the owner was saying to our group for hunting tactics. The stands were not in the best spots. The stands were not brushed out properly which lowered your odds immensely. Some of the stands squeaked and moved when switching positions. The deer population was great which should have made for a better success rate. But too many things were against the hunter on this hunt
