The positive: Lovely little piece place in a beautiful location. The lodge and associated restaurant are decorated as you would expect, with plentiful artwork and a decided western feel. The main lodge area has a large fireplace and plentiful seating options. I found myself hanging out there often as the wireless was far more reliable there than in my room. The room was pleasant and clean, and the bed worked well for my soft mattress loving back. I really enjoyed the all seasons hot tubs. The negative: As much as I really enjoyed many aspects of the lodge, I likely won't return. In my room (one of the less expensive non suite options), the lack of soundproofing was a deal breaker. The noise from people on the hot tub deck, walking in the halls and opening and closing doors was extremely bothersome. I found myself startled awake by this noise several times a night. If you are a heavy sleeper, I would recommend without question. For everyone else, sadly I must suggest finding another option.

We just stopped there as a midway point on our snowmobiling trip. It was a nice warm pit stop. The lodge itself is gorgeous and facilities were top notch. I would definitely recommend this place.

Pros: Beautiful setting. Nicely decorated.  Cons: The lights by the beds are for ambiance and are not adequate for reading in bed. The duvet was too warm, but just a sheet was too cold. I spent the night covering up with the duvet and then throwing it off. A lightweight blanket would have been wonderful. The pillows were way too firm with no give. I did not have a good night's sleep. The food on the breakfast buffet was cold even though we were there at 8 a.m. We decided to give it a second chance and ate lunch there. It was bad, too. It took a long time to get our food. The buffalo in the buffalo stew was very chewy and the only seasoning I could taste was hot sauce. Our waitress had a negative attitude. She provided minimum service, never checking on us or refilling water, etc. It was 2 p.m. so being too busy was not an issue. I loved the area but if I stay there again, I'll bring my own reading light and ask for a blanket at the front desk. I will never eat at their restaurant again.

I love the location! The lodge itself is wonderfully decorated and cozy. The bartender we had was very friendly. And I love the hiking trail to the waterfall!

This is my Happy Place! Beautiful trails that are level to walk on and only a mile from the falls. The restaurant next door has food that is to die for. Try the flat iron stake with mushrooms and rice petoff. It was only $21 and came with fresh vegetables,  homemade rolls and the salad had the most tasty homemade croutons. Loved the cute lamps in the rooms.
