This Best Western has an awesome location being RIGHT on the beach. Walk out access to the beach and water is great for families. The rooms are basic. With 2 queen beds and a bathroom. TV, mini bar fridge and microwave were included in our room. The price for the room was a premium for the access to the beach. But the room was not a premium room. The air conditioner was LOUD. As was the A/C in the rooms beside us. The a/c in our room was so loud I couldn't sleep with it on. Charging what the are it could have been better. Although the location to the beach was quite excellent. So there are trade offs.

This property is in a great location and is definitely the best in Sandpoint area. The restaurant is excellent with a good menu and very good staff and great views of the lake and marina. Food is great quality as well. Room a little dated with bed on soft side and pillows in need of replacement. We had a problem with bugs in the room that appeared to be there before our arrival. Deck has a sliding patio door with no screen, so be aware when using the deck. The staff were very good upon arrival. A little less so, on checkout in regards to my comments on the bugs.

Service was fast and friendly. The rooms were clean with a great view. The towels were soft. No breakfast except the for the restaurant inside the hotel. Beach access almost from your room. The pool was awesome which had a sauna, hot tub and female and male showers.

The Edgewater is somewhat a special place for me to visit every year since the late 80's. I gave them a five star rating because last year I didn't and wasn't too happy with the restaurant service and food. This year however, the wait stuff was trained much better, had a more professional and positive attitude and the food was much more consistent. It is always a great place to stay at the lake.

Very good location! Beautiful views from our room and within a few steps from the beach. Also very convenient location near the Amtrak train station!
