We were biking in the area.  We wanted to try the nearby lakeside trail.  Out large vehicle with a bike rack would not fit safely in the assigned parking stalls with out bike rack hanging out into traffic and making it unsafe.
We pulled forward a bit and the tires of out truck were touching the grass.
There were no bumpers to prevent this nor were there any signs telling us not to.
When we returned from our ride we found we had been ticketed.
The violation was listed as "wheels on the grass."
Just be aware this city is out to raise revenue on unsuspecting families.

star because we thoroughly checked the city web page on this park and decided to venture out for a full day at the lake with our dog.  We drove an hour and a half just to get there just to be told to leave by life guards.  I understand dogs not being allowed but it needs to be appropriately advertised.  We ended up leaving because we had no other options.

The beach here is awesome. There are docks about 10-15 yards out that you can swim to and climb up and jump in the lake. Plenty of fun for kids. I would give 5 stars if not for a bunch of California punks up there blaring loud music and raising hell. Sandpoint is busy this time of year.

This is my children's favourite place to spend an afternoon. I wish they cleaned up some of the goose poop. Can't put your feet anywhere without stepping in it.

Very beautiful beach! It can be crowded and there was a lot of poop on the shore from birds last time I was there. It is a lot of fun though and walking distance to lots of little shops.
