I recently started purchasing from this store and my experience has been fantastic. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and I really like the general laid back atmosphere. The selection of bikes is absolutely huge, and I'm pretty sure they're the only Santa Cruz dealer in the area. 

On of the coolest things is that they are located right across the street from Umstead Park and they were cool with me parking at their store and riding to the trails from there. It made it extra convenient because I could buy some clip bars before the ride and rinse my bike off there afterward. 

I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a bike shop in the area. They have good prices, cool people, and one of them even has a very stylish beard.

Over the course of several weeks my wife and I looked for bicycles.  Working with Derek and Chris at the Raleigh Bicycle Chain was a very pleasurable experience.  Derek helped us select the right bicycles based on the type of riding we wanted to do. Both Chris and Derek made the purchasing and ordering experience straight forward and kept us informed of the progress.  Some accessories we had requested were professionally installed by the repair shop personnel who were also professional and personable. Thanks to the team at the Bicycle Chain for a very informative and enjoyable experience.

I had the brakes adjusted on my bike and everyone was really friendly. The mechanic was helpful, patient, and explained what was going on.

Super nice. Helped my husband repair his bike for a very reasonable price. The guy even threw in one of his used tires to help keep the repair cheap for us.
