I can’t say enough about Big Bears Lodge and the wonderful owners! I would recommend this beautiful inn to everyone with total confidence because I would know with absolute certainty that they would not be disappointed. Another Jewel in Mount Snow that is always a sure hit for anyone at all, wether it be a family , a couple, a group or even if you’re traveling solo. Comfortable, so pretty and a place that makes you feel like you’re at home. It’s in the perfect location and directly across from the mount snow resort. Everything about this hotel is lovely. Caroline and Steve couldn’t be sweeter, Thank you BIG BEARS LODGE !!

We have just had a wonderful 6 nights at Big Bears Lodge in Dover Vermont with Skiing at Mount Snow. The Lodge ‘hugs’ you as walk through the door. The Lodge offers all it says - friendly owners and staff, welcoming atmosphere, warm rooms, tv lounges, a fabulous hot tub, ski room, game room, clean rooms and facilities, great breakfasts with eggs anyway you want-Steve the chef was very accommodating, even doing Mickey Mouse pancakes! I truly recommend this family Lodge because it ticks all the boxes of what you need for a skiing vacation. Thank you Caroline and Steve. Great Job!

Great place. Staff is very friendly (including the four legged ones). Slept like a baby. Hot tub is very nice after a long cold day. Thank you for your hospitality!

This was one of the best stays I have had. The owners are very friendly and always helpful to everyone. Delicious hot breakfast in the mornings is downright amazing! Love the pool table downstairs and the Tv lounge. Definitely would stay here again.

Pros: - Close to Mount Snow - Pricing comparable to other hotels Cons: - Beds are uncomfortable and stiff. Felt like I was sleeping on a box spring instead of a mattress. Adding a foam pad I brought with me did not help. - Bed had non-stop creaking. Creaked while getting in bed, creaked while getting out of bed, creaked while turning over in bed. I think a cat walking across the bed would have made it creak. - Difficult to control shower temperature, I had to play around with the hot/cold water knobs for a while to find a warm-but-not-burning temperature. The hot water knob is metal and was extremely hot at the end of the shower, nearly burned my hand. - Walls are paper thin, I was able to hear people moving in adjacent rooms (and their creaky beds) as well as anyone moving out in the hallway. Was also able to hear everyone packing and starting their cars in the morning. - Was THREATENED by staff that I would be "in big trouble" when I brought 2 guests to watch a movie in my room. Staff assumed I was attempting to sleep 4 people in a 2-person room. MY 2 GUESTS ALREADY HAD A RESERVATION AT A NEARBY HOTEL. Staff did not believe me and I was told they'd be watching the security cameras to see that my guests leave. I have been on many group ski trips and never encountered this problem at another hotel. I felt like an unwelcome criminal the way I was treated. My 2 guests left immediately, we were all concerned that police would be called on us FOR WATCHING THE AMAZING SPIDERMAN. By far my worst experience in a hotel. I encourage everyone to avoid this hotel. My 2 guests stayed at the Best Western in Bennington and had a pleasant evening.
