Big Mountain is the kind of Northern Exposure Lumberjack Roadside Pizza Place/Bar you would expect in the mountains of Oregon.  Good portions, great pizza and strong cocktails for those so inclined.  Also, if you like history, the decor offers a view of how Oakridge grew up from the lumber town of years gone by.

Large portions that come out to you piping hot. This isn't the most vegetarian friendly place but you can make it work with a cheese-only option. Vegan? Snack at the salad bar to hold you over til Eugene.

So the first thing they did wrong was forgot the bacon and tomatoes on our chicken bacon Tomato Pizza, then the cook argue with me and told me it didn't come with bacon, I had to show her on the menu. They also forgot several toppings on my son's Pizza that he had ordered. So that was annoying, but only got worse after 35 minutes of waiting my friend went to ask about her Burger, and the cook was sitting in the lobby watching TV. She said they would probably make it soon.  At this point I was pretty irritated.  But it only got worse! I went to take a drink of my soda, that I had already drank a large amount of, and realized my cup and straw and my hand was suddenly covered in ANTS! The girl working the front counter seemed horrified,  but didn't offer a refund or anything.  I asked for a bottled beverage,  as did my son, who also had ants.  They never even gave us a partial refund or even an apology. The pizza was awful and mostly just uncooked onions.  They didn't say a word when we left either.  Terrible place to eat,  not that there are a lot of options in Oakridge.

Well, it was something that resembled pizza but even the children wouldn’t eat it.  The chicken was bloody, the dollar fries were so greasy that we couldn’t soak the grease out to make them eatable.  We didn’t receive our complete order and when we notified the help, they said they brought it to the table.  They didn’t offer to get us the remainder of our order.  I will never go back to this dive.  They must did their best business in the bar.  The kitchen was filthy and the help unkept and they weren’t wearing gloves in the food prep and also were multi tasking and not washing their hands after cash register work.  Glad I didn’t get sick. The health dept certainly needs to do a surprise visit here.

Ordered a medium pizza with cheese, roasted garlic, and red onion for just under $25. Came a little smaller than the pan sizing on the wall and a little burnt. Served with ranch in a bottle which unfortunately didn't help the dry pizza. The crust was also very thin but dense, not like a purposeful thin crust. Maybe the dough was over kneaded. Fried pickles $4 (not pictured) were good but not served with an accompanying sauce or anything. Service time okay. Dining room slightly dirty. Overall, this place fed us when we were hungry but wouldn't go back again.
