I currently live at Willow Creek, although I appreciate the dog friendly property and overall the landscaping is pleasant, snow removal was really good over the winter. When I moved in in November of 2016 Christine was the manager the property seemed much cleaner when she ran the place... hallways now smell bad, carpets are dirty and the resident population seems to be getting a bit rougher. When my husband and I came to look at the apartment complex we were shown a unit that was nice, a 1 bedroom walkout. We were told our unit would be the same. When we came to sign the lease and paid the deposit we asked to see the unit we would move into. It was nowhere near the same as the one were shown, it is a handicap unit, although the location of the unit for taking our large dogs out (Great Danes) is awesome the unit itself sucks! It is not at all cozy, it has no cabinets under the sink (to allow wheelchair) the microwave is on counter not mounted above the stove like the other units this all really cuts into storage. My bedroom shares a wall with the stairs going up, as well as the stairs and the dreaded gate that bangs all hours of the night going into the garage. I would not have agreed to this had I had more time, we sold our home and had to move in 2 weeks by the time they broke the news of this "slight" adjustment to the apartment unit. I honestly have not had a good nights sleep since I moved here! Lucky for us we own a home in northern MN and on Fridays I can't wait to go and get some rest. I expected some adjustment as I have never lived in an apartment community before, and I was super happy to find a place that would accept my well mannered extremely LARGE dogs but I can't wait until I can get out of here, if I could move again I would, but breaking the lease is just too expensive. My advice to Bigos is to train you office staff to not bait and switch tenants knowing full well that I was on a tight time line, they should have told me 2 months before they did that the only option I had was the unit I got, I would be living somewhere else had I known earlier.

I am a current Bigos employee. I started with the company almost 8 years ago, and I also previously lived on one of their sites before even working for the company. I have found that Bigos supports work/life balance, education, and the overall well-being of their employees, vendors, and anyone they do business with. They also continually work to improve their business practices and strive to be the best that they can be. I have also seen firsthand how much they truly care about their residents, and how they work to continuously improve their properties each year. I am very proud to work for this company!

We lived at Eden Commons for only a year, thank goodness, and never have we experienced such negative treatment. Our move out process was almost near impossible because they refused to give a reference to a future apartment complex that we wanted to move into. It was six simple yes/no questions that could have been easily answered but we had to jump through hoops to get any sort of resolution. After speaking with Jim Cramer and Stacey from corporate multiple times, speaking to an attorney, and filing a complaint at the Better Business Bureau, they were finally willing to fill out the simple questionnaire. When we finally moved out, they deducted a chuck of our security deposit for "sanding" some minor nail holes which we used to put shelves on to store towels, wash cloths and bathroom essentials because there were no linen storage in their apartments. He claims that the nail holes were larger than dime size which was completely false; the spackle we applied was larger than dime size but the nail holes weren't. After debating with Jim Cramer for more than a week, he refused to offer a positive resolution because apparently money is more important than customer service. I've never had to deal with someone who was so unprofessional and unwilling to satisfy their customers' needs. It goes without saying, I would never recommend any Bigos management properties to anyone ever. Not only are they charging a ridiculous amount for their tiny apartments (1100 for a one bedroom and all utilities paid by residents) but their customer service is one of the worse I've ever experienced. Save yourselves a headache and live elsewhere.

I leased at Willow Creek for 2 years. In that time the water has been shut off multiple times and hot water is difficult to come by. Towards the end of my second year I was given 4 days notice my apartment would be renovated. This included all appliances, cabinets, floors, bathroom, etc. Within 4 days I had to find a way to store and relocate my belongings in my studio apartment. To date they have yet to finish the painting on the walls. Now that I'm moving, they will not fill out a rental verification in the format my next apartment needs. I am now at risk of losing my new apartment even though I only have positive rental history. Management at Willow Creek claimed this was because of Fair Housing. Though when pressed could not explain how this was fair housing and switched to it was against policy. I offered to provide written consent for any information which needs to be on the verification. Again they stated this is against policy. I am now working with Bigos Management Corporate as Willow Creek staff refused to do anything further. As I'm writing this I have yet to have this simple matter resolved. I sincerely hope others took the time to read this review as this should never happen to a tenant who has never had rental history issues in their time.

By far the worst rental experience I have ever had. The properties are fine, but management is a complete and total joke. If you think this sounds fine.... you have no idea what a total nightmare it can be to have these people involving in your life.
