Found a bug on the first page of the menu under the plastic sheet, probably should of left then. Server was nice but only came to our table to take our order, deliver the food, and give us the check. Never asked us how the food was, needed extra napkins so we took them off the set table next to ours. I also found someones gum between two sugars in the sugar caddy. The food was ok, crab pretzel was the best thing we had there, this is Maryland we can find crab pretzels at other restaurants. The restaurant itself seemed very run down and dirty. We went on a Sunday night at 6pm and the only customers in the dining room was us and one other table who had the manager at their table. I can now understand why they weren't busy. I don't forsee us returning either.

Wait staff very good. Crab soup very good. We had a party of 8. The rest of the food..not so great.

I was there to attend an event and ordered food before the event started. The fries were really oily and cold. The Manager acted quick when I complained about it which was nice but they really stacked more fries on top of the old fries. The fries tasted stale and we did not finish it all. 2 Stars extra for the prompt service, none for the food.

We have been patronizing Bateman's about 6-10x/year since they opened in Reisterstown. So, obviously the experiences were good enough that we continued to place orders, primarily carry-out. But that may change. The last two experiences have been poor. We had 5/6 family members at home a few months back and they totally missed one of our orders. (It seemed like the right number or orders, by the number of containers I received, but, alas, one shy.) To the manager's credit, they did refund us more than just the cost of the forgotten order. But, strike one! More recently, the carry-out order we got appeared as though the kitchen could have cared less. The wings (supposed to be their specialty) looked like they could have been reheated from an order taken hours before. On the menu, it says the celery/carrot sticks/ranch/blue cheese are included, but not this time! A quesadilla order was equally uninspiring. Looked like it could have been a reheated frozen dinner. And, no sour cream or salsa. Yes, guess, I could have gone through each container to check, but had already waited an extra 10 mins. on site, so was in a bit of a hurry. Plus, when I arrived, there was no one at front area for about 5 minutes to ask whether I was dining in or carrying out. Strike two! May just walk back to dugout without seeing another pitch!

Great little restaurant in Reisterstown, MD. Great diverse food options, excellent beer and wine selection, Reasonable prices, and a pool table. What more does anyone need?
