A classy place for sure. The wait staff could not be nicer or more attentive. The warm bread was delicious. The side salad that comes with the meals was a little too drenched in dressing but the other ingredients were great with a good amount of mushrooms. The portion is very generous for a side salad. The salmon with pecans was cooked perfectly and had a nice flavor. The side of spinach and carrots was underwhelming. I would not recommend getting the carrots as a side dish. The caesar salad dressing was very powerful so be aware if you don’t like a strong dressing. The lunch menu prices aren’t bad but the regular menu can get pretty pricey. The overall experience was great and the menu has tons of options to explore.
We had reservations at 6:30, we arrived at 6:15 we were finally seated at 7:15 while walk ins were being told it was a half an hour wait. Not sure how long they actually waited but why did I make reservations when it didn't really matter? I get being short staffed but when asked don't continue to tell me you are getting our table ready when you obviously are not. Food was very good and our waitress did a good job.
I had some great food at this place, but I was highly disappointed that there was not one staff member who was wearing a mask. I certainly was the oddity in the whole building, being one who was wearing a mask, as they do not require them for their customers, either That being said, let me tell you about the delicious food. My friends and I ordered the garlic cheese bread. It was five, maybe six good size pieces of Italian bread with their garlic butter and what they call “StL pizza cheese”, which is Provel, of course. It was served with a slightly sweet marinara sauce that was really pretty good. Friend #1 got the 12” Frank’s Special Delight pizza which had hamburger, pepperoni, big pieces of bacon, onions and peppers. I did not have any, but my friend sure liked it! It did look amazing, I will say. I shared the Cod Piccata with Friend #2. I’m glad I shared it, because it was a large portion. The waitress was good enough to split the order, giving us two beautiful plates of this dinner - lightly breaded cod in the lemon caper sauce - and it was just the right size and quite delicious. This came with their house salad, which was really pretty darn big even being split and very tasty. It had raw mushrooms in it, and I didn’t think I would like them, but mixed with everything else in the salad they were quite acceptable. The dressing was slightly sweet, but totally excellent and it was just a good salad. It also came with a side of cavatappi in a light white sauce, which was ok, but nothing to write home about - I took it home and will pile on some cheese for lunch later this week, and it will be fine. So there you go, not totally comfortable with the lack of Covid precautions in the building, but their food was good.
The food is always delicious and the staff nice very professional..looking forward to dining here again soon..
Kevin out waiter was amazing he was very busy but still made sure to take care of us and all his other tables. We came for our Valentine's with my hubby. Thanks for makeing our night special Food: 5/5
My daughter, son, son-in-law, son's partner went here for my 70th birthday. I enjoyed my family first, my wonderful gifts. The food was delicious and first time I had a chocolate martini which was very good. I was brought cheese cake that topped off the night. Most of all being with my family and all the wonderful gifts Couldn't have asked for a better birthday! Yeah!!
I’ve been eating at this neighborhood restaurant for 30 years and the quality has really gone down. My NY strip steak used to be a very thick, tender, and cooked to perfection. Last night it was thin, tough and over cooked. The pasta side and salad were delicious but the steak was terrible. Also disappointing is that several items that I have enjoyed over the years have been removed from the menu and replaced with cheaper things. Sole has been replaced with cod. Flash fried spinach gone and replaced with sauce. Chicken Caesar salad gone. White tablecloths gone. It used to be you could request special preparations even if they did disappear from the menu- no longer. The last time I dined here the chicken Spiedini was dry. The last time I ordered take out there was a noticeable difference in the quantity of the food. The portion size was a lot smaller than if I had dined in. What Bill G built no longer exists. The place has become more like a sports bar and less like the fine restaurant that it used to be. I used to frequent this place once a month or more. No more. Disappointing.
I love this place every time! I was so excited about the salad and the manicotti, that I forgot to take pictures! The salad here NEVER disappoints, and the manicotti super yummy! My friend treated me for my birthday and encouraged me to try the artichoke hearts, And they were also delicious! A good meal is had here EVERY time and the staff is friendly, and there is a fun atmosphere and fun crowd. Definitely recommend!
We were in a party of 40 people with 3 menu choices the host picked and paid. So, the food choice was limited. The service was great. No problems. I gave the waiter an additional tip for doing a great job.Food: 4/5
Overall it was OK. Our waitress wasn't friendly at all, but we heard another waitress nearby that sounded awesome. One of our pasta dishes was rubbery and tough to eat. The sauces, especially the marinara sauce, were excellent. The portions are big and we had plenty leftover for a second meal at home the next day. I'd try them again.
