I got to experience Bill Scott's BJJ academy as a visitor from NYC, getting in some training while enjoying some time at the shore.

My experience began with an email exchange in which I asked about the academy's visitor policy. I was welcomed with a prompt and friendly response from the program director, Micaela. She again greeted me with a welcoming smile when I arrived at the school. This made me feel right at home.

Class was rigorous and intense. Professor Bill is clearly knowledgeable and skilled. Although the class was full, he took the time to give each student attention while we drilled. There were also numerous high ranking students in the class who were helpful. 

In addition to a great staff, the students at the academy were welcoming and a pleasure to work with. This is a true testament to an excellent training environment.

In the area, you'll have several choices for martial arts training, as I did when I was looking for a place to train during my trip. I'm glad I ended up going to Bill Scott BJJ. I'll be recommending it to anyone who comes to the area to train.

I've been coming to the Bill Scott's for years whenever I bring my family to the beach. You simply cannot beat the people or the instruction. I travel enough to have trained lots of places and I feel like I have a pretty good feel for what good looks like and Bill's place is great. The instructor's are excellent and I don't think I've ever had a trip where I didn't feel like I picked up something that would help me. That and a room full of guys that will push your limits and then help you up afterwords is pretty special. If you are lucky enough to live at the beach this is where you should train.

While on vacation its always great to find a gym you can get some mat time.  Bill's Shore Academy was just the spot.  Very friendly and welcoming.  Was able to jump right in to class and get some training.  Highly recommend if visiting or if you live in the area.  Awesome gym and great staff for a fun and safe BJJ experience!!!

Came to point pleasant for the weekend from NYC and wanted to get some training in so I stopped by the Shore Academy.  Everyone was extremely nice and welcoming.  Bill and the other instructors were very knowledgeable and helpful.  Great experience with lots of talented people to train with.  I'll be back next time I'm in point pleasant and would recommend stopping by if you come to the area.

I enjoyed the opportunity to train here during a beach weekend.  This is a great academy with a terrific instructor.  Bill and his whole gym are welcoming and easy-going.  Bill gives you plenty of detail when he demonstrates the moves, and he also gives you a few variations to practice to that the drilling never feels stale.  If you're at the shore, definitely stop by!
