Great hometown BBQ experience. Great staff, great service, even better food.

Tasted very commercial to me. The meat was pretty good but the sauce isn't to my liking. It's definitely worth a try. It may be exactly what you love plus the staff is very friendly and attentive. Could use some updating too. Very dark and dated but clean.

I'm pretty sure the locals will disagree with me, but I recently went to lunch here during my visit to Shawnee and I felt like it was pretty average. I got the catfish basket as it was the special of the day. I felt like the fish was tougher than it should be. The smaller pieces were the worst, but even the largest pieces weren't that soft. The fries weren't bad, but needed to be salted. The tartar sauce was good, but nothing special.
All in all, I wouldn't mind going back next time I'm in town to try something new, but what I got this time wasn't great.

It's just not the same anymore. This used to be my favorite place. Never again.
