3 hour delay at the station -2 hours standing in line because of a train car's electrical issue. Another hour on train for brake issue and engine replacement though I was glad to be comfortably seated. During trip bathroom after bathroom went info repair status so only one was working. When train for 3 hours from our destination, Birmingham, Mi. They announced they would end the train service in Detroit not going to the last 3 stops. "Alternative"transport would be offered to the passengers for the last 3 stops. The last place I want to be is on a bus from downtown Detroit train station. They are notorious for lateness, poor upkeep and would be crossing some scary parts of town. I got of in Ann Arbor to afford this last insult by Amtrak. Apparently when passengers glad enough after the 21/2 hours and exited the train for other modes of transport the number of remaining passengers wasn't enough pay Detroit to me Amtrak to its commitment to passengers to get them to where they paid to go. If I want to take a bus I will pay a ton less and take the mega bus. I really like the comforts and idea of the train especially in winter weather but after this customer abusive trip I'll drive, take the bus, or fly.
