The food here is consistently delicious. The manager seems to know everyone and gives a personal greeting. Only a few tables for dining in, (most do take out it seems) but it's clean and the staff is attentive. This is a great Chinese restaurant overall.

Black bamboo is the best Chinese place in ct for a good reason. Great for quick take out and a small dining area. Sonny is the man, always friendly and looking out for his customers.

Worst prices and they say the lunch special only includes the rice!! What?! Are you kidding me? Every other place includes the rice and you get your choice either egg roll, soup or soda. These people charge $7 a lunch portion with or without the rice!! So what’s the special?! Seriously and then it was cold broccoli and over cooked meat. Well I got tofu and it was like rubber. The sauce was like jello. Worst ever. And they claim 4.3 stars. No way. Go somewhere else people. There are better options.

The food was good, nothing to write home about. However, not everything in their menu was available. I went at dinnertime, and for some reason they couldn't make me any of the dinner combos, very disappointing.

One star off for service... seriously black bamboo, if you read this please tell your employees to be somewhat courteous. Not the driver/s, they're great. And your food is great, no complaints there. But the employee who took my order today over the phone had a huge beef with me for some reason, even before she picked up the phone :/
